American intelligence community assesses, with a level of high confidence, that the regime of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons against the opposition multiple times, I've seen nothing saying anyone lied about WMD'S in Syria.....you're confusing Syria with Iraq, Guy. |

He's confused. Faux News told him Saddam Hussein Moved his chemical weapons to Syria. This is a little more believeable than UFO's and Big Foot. Remember Hussien was a Sunni not a Shia or alewhite. Moving anything to Syria would be world news. World news similar to the Iraqi pilots that flew their planes to Iran rather than face the US air force. Sadly, the only sources for WMD's being sent to Syria are Dick Cheney and/or Faux news. In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

Possible but hardly conclusive. Being reluctant after Iraq is a very natural response. |

Possible but hardly conclusive. Being reluctant after Iraq is a very natural response. True, I means we don't need Bush 3 and another invasion of a mid-east country by a US president, even if his name isn't Bush. |

And in the midst of all of our economic troubles and the constant scandals, you get stories like this...... IRS to pay $70M in employee bonuses despite spending cuts. "The IRS is already facing widespread criticism, which started last month when IRS officials acknowledged that agents had improperly targeted Tea Party groups and conservative organizations for additional scrutiny when they applied for tax-exempt status during the 2010 and 2012 elections. Then the agency's inspector general issued a report a few weeks later that documented lavish employee conferences during the same time period." And, even more arrogant... Costly Obama family trip to Africa under fire amid sequester cuts. "President Obama’s trip this month to Africa, with the first family tagging along, is projected to cost taxpayers as much as $100 million, sparking criticism as the federal government scrimps along during sequester-related budget cuts. Among the related costs will be fighter jets; hundreds of Secret Service agents; a Navy ship with a full trauma center; and military cargo planes to bring 56 vehicles including 14 limousines and three trucks loaded with sheets of bulletÂproof glass to cover the windows of the hotels where the first family will stay. The details were reported by The Washington Post, based on a confidential planning document." 'We don't need no stinkin' money....we still have your checkbook.' The Washington ruling class doesn't see a limit to the amount they can steal from the American people. The Washington ruling class think they can get away with anything with the American people. So you admit to not being wealthy and apparently not a republican? Since we know the ruling class is Republican in name. Amen In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Chris, it does bother me just a bit when I post a couple of articles about our government continuing their spending rampage in the face of the American public, in spite of our budget woes, and you consider this thread 'irrelevant'. Chris, it does bother me just a bit when I post a couple of articles about our government continuing their spending rampage in the face of the American public, in spite of our budget woes, and you consider this thread 'irrelevant'. Budget woes or budget WHoas!!! Seems certain people we elated with W and his preemptive wars. Wars that weren't paid for with standard budgetary measures. W used Emergency spending to fund his wars. the big O turned it around and showed us how the sausage was made. It's not cheap. Sadly, people forget that little tidbit when they look at the socalled Bush budgets which excluded emergency spending because it was... well emergency spending and Big O's honest budgeting. Lets also look at unemployment which seems to be dropping which means more people are working and paying taxes as opposed to collecting unemployment benefits. Seems the deficit went down all on its own because people are working. Working because the economy is recovering not because of some Bush league tax cut to the wealthy. Can you honestly say the US was better off with W than we are now. Other than the nutbags crying about some nonexistent law taking their guns and ammo away...which BTW helped sales which again helped the economy. TY paranoid gun nuts. That aside, this country is righting itself. Not because of Conservatives but in spite of them. A party that declares their policys are against everything the other said isn't much of a party to begin with. In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

And because you think the country may be 'righting itself' a little bit, this excuses paying $70 million in bonuses to IRS folks, many of whom have been already called out for wasteful and extravagant spending sprees? And Obama taking his family on a little holiday jaunt to Africa costing the taxpayers up to $100 million dollars? I don't buy it. If it's strictly business, leave the wife and kids at home. These things are helping our economy and reducing our national debt? "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

So the least liked division of the Gov't is handing out bonuses. Yet another reason to hate people that collect the taxes that pay for everything our gov't does. I am willing to bet the bonuses are retention and/or achievement bonuses. Personally, I would think this is a no brainer. People that are consistantly harrassed and cajoled in public. Why not give them a bit more to keep them? Do we know how many workers are getting these bonuses? and how much each one is receiving? In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face.
