Ok I run it and this time no problems I tried doing it the way I did yesterday to get it to have the same error but this time I could not get it to do it even after changing them over and then back . I also have not had to suspend and shut down the clients for the bars to show the right colour . So what ever you did seems to have worked .

The only problem I had which I expected was not being able to excess the file if I take permission away . Soon as I gave it back permission went like a dream no problem and no error with the colour of the bars

Doh! I had set the option to show number before I had seen the program run. I did't see the vendor icon with the number covering it up. LOL! I like this way better.

As for permission - it is not a problem, I think. Many programs can't access to files with have no permission. You boss on your computer and only you give access (permission). Just remember about.

Ok did it all working . It gives me the info on second gajet for each unit for the backup server and the first gadjet gives me info on server .

If I click Boinc logo on second gadjet it open the client on the server not backup

Other than that all ok

It's a bit late here but tomorrow I will do a test as I think I may have found out why the gadjet did what it did yesterday , as I ran a program that a lot of seti users use and the bars changed back to red on the backup gadjet , where I run the program . I had to stop the client and restart it to get it back to normal and stop the program . But let me test it again tomorrow and if it does do it I will let you know . The program is called TThrottle and is in the add-on part of the seti web site

It controls CPU/GPU temp's . Backup runs XP and I can't use gadjets on it to watch the temps on the GPU like I do on the server

I have to say one thing. The add-ins with the setup program are a royal pain in the butt. It took me awhile to get rid on one of them. If you do not read every last word and click "Next >" instead of "Skip" it installs "SweetPacks Toolbar". I realize you are offering a free gadget and I need to read every last word but a heads-ups that there are add-ins that come with your gadget and to read carefully the instructions would be nice. You solicited donations. Please make your install more user friendly with out the add-in toolbar trap and I will gladly donate.

As for new vers 9.04. I remember that you check see GPU number when you have only 1 GPU. Now I recognize this case and appropriate setup box unavailable. Thank you for show me it.

I just updated to v9.07 BOINC Monitor.

I do not appreciate having to jump through 20 hoops just to find out that the 'installer' didn't install what I wanted installed! I had to manually install BOINC Monitor after the 'installer' was done! And I don't appreciate NOT having an opt-out option for some stupid dumb program that the installer wants to install! I had to UNINSTALL a program I did NOT want installed which had no opt-out choice!

If you want people to use your product, be a little more respectful to them. I will be thinking 3 times if I want to install the next update you come out with. I like your monitor, but if you're going to treat users this way, I will no longer use it.

Keep on BOINCing...! :)

OK! WHAT have you done to my browser!? Now I go to click on links and I get new tabs that pop up with advertisements!! That is pissing me OFF!!!

You meed to click cancel, that seems to say cancel the gadget install, but does not. Maybe just the extra stuff.
I have times when DNS (OpenDNS) blocks the third party site, due to history of malware.
I have reported it, but I have heard nothing back yet.

Well, I don't need to worry about it any longer. I have uninstalled BOINC Monitor. Why?

My Firefox browser was reverted back to fresh install status. All my tabs were gone. All my settings were gone. I have some of my tabs back, but there are about 6 I cannot remember how to get the site for. Stupid me, I didn't have a latest bookmark for my current tabs. This will change today. :)

You know? I really liked BOINC Monitor. I really did! This morning, however, it was showing that no BOINC tasks were running. I checked BOINC Manager and it showed 8 tasks running. Ok, so I decided to update BOINC Monitor. Man was THAT a mistake! :(

If there's one thing I don't like about computers, which there really isn't, it's how some people will just take it upon themselves to change the way your computer or a program works to suit them and not the owner. I HATE that! That's why I have all updater programs set to ask me to install instead of just doing it. Every time I install something, I use the custom install feature just to make sure NOTHING is getting on my computer that I don't want. Lotta good that did for me this morning, huh? ;)

Oh well... Live and learn... :)
