Can you post me direct link to Fred performance test?

This message has the link for download. I run either 3 or 4 on my 670. The performance test said they were about the same, and my observations confirm that. I get a 98%+ gpu utilization either way.

As for http://jgopt.org
I must just copy appropriate files to here
C:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects\setiathome.berkeley.edu

Or/and do something else, e.g. change any files like MBCuda.aistub ?

You might just want to wait. The project is probably going to release Version 7 this week, and x41zc will become the new stock application. Timing and the availability of a new Lunatics installer are uncertain. So, if you install today, you may have to undo it in 2 or 3 days. To make the install, copy the files to the project directory you named, and then copy / paste the contents of the aistub file into the app_info.xml file replacing the current section for 6.10. Don't include the first and last line (<app_info> and </app_info>). I'd back it all up first and I usually suspend network communications until I'm sure the change is okay.

Looks like your fixes worked. I was glad to hear you did a reinstall for the video driver - I suspect that driver was the cause, though it is hard to tell with the messages you were getting.

That is why I use 5 WUs. Or I did some mistake?

Fred could give you a better hand with his program and results, did you made the test manualy? Or try 4 WU at a time? You could made a table and check the times on each option. Something like this (an example from this host that have a 580):

WU GPU Usage

1 80%
2 92%
3 99%
4 99%
5 99%

So the best number is 3 WU in this host too.

But don´t waste your time too hard on this, with the soon release of V7 all this will change, the number of WU per GPU will reduce to 2 or 3 to be the optimum anyway. Why i don´t know just the the warming on the forum, something related to the way it works.

I made manually test. You right. It is not very urgent or very needed. I use 5WUs and lucky. I think it is better for me.

3 will be best on a 670 as someone else previously said. You can do 5, but it works out fastest for 3 at a time

Happy that helps. You will notice an increase in your host RAC (after tommorrow outage of course) and a better video response in windows.

But be aware, when V7 starts you will probabily need to change to 2 (not sure now) but that is another history we all need to wait until the end of the week to make tests and be sure about that, at least all previous beta tests shows that.
