Oh I knew already, I was just pointing out, Arky should update that page to reflect 301.24, just to be more complete.

We don't want that now, don't worry about Me.

Thank you for pointing out that information currently going out to 150k active users is incorrect.

Everything seems to be good , Just REAL long crunching estimates ( compared to before) , what used to take ( CPU ) 1.5-2 hrs is now showing 4-5 hours ,
GPU is now over 30 min long .

That sound about right ?

Was able to contact Eric.
He said he would turn off Coral Cache on one of the download servers.
I have to run off to work right now, but please keep an eye on things and post here if it helps the app download situation.

Keep in mind you may not hit that particular download server on every attempt, so I would still expect some download failures. But hopefully it will help.

An estimate is just an estimate, run a few tasks for real and see what happens. But they will take longer than before, yes. That's the whole purpose of this rollout - to study the WUs in greater detail. And more work == more time.

That's ok... I LIKE it... LOL... I was just putting out the info for comparative purposes ,(for the GTX 460SE anyway ).

That sounds about right, the 7.00 app includes support for AVX, and now uses the latest FFTW 3.3 dll too, which also gives a further speedup compared to the old FFTW 3.1.1 dll,
Hosts with AVX support will get a big speedup, my i7-2600K @4.7GHz does Stock 7.00 CPU Wu's in ~2 to 2½ Hrs, while my C2D T8100 @2.1GHz is doing them in 6 Hrs.

v7 Downloads will have the application name SETI@home v7 7.00, at present you are running Anonymous Platform with only v6 apps, so at present you are locked into only running v6 Wu's.

For a CPU only host you don't need to a recent Boinc at all, you may sit tight on 6.10.58

Not sure i understand the question.
As long as you are running the stock application, and have selected to process v7 work in your account, Seti@home settings, BOINC will download (or attempt to) the files it needs automatically.
The version of the manager (in your case 6.10.58) isn't an issue.

EDIT- Claggy beat me to it.

Just wait till Monday and crunch v6 resends in the meantime.

I'd set NNT, complete your existing work first, report it, then either remove your app_info, and restart Boinc, you then reset the project and ask for work, make sure Setienhanced v7 is enabled in your Setiathome project preferences.

Or wait until Monday, then download and run the 0.41 Lunatics Installer.

If the V7 GPU app's are doing more Intensive work on the Wu's , is it maybe more needed to free up 1 core on cpu , to be more effective for GPU work ?
With the V6 apps , I was getting about the same results with one core free as I was without one free, as far as credit and time went anyway.

You would need, as a minimum,

http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/setiathome_7.00_windows_intelx86.exe
http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/libfftw3f-3-3_upx.dll

I've deliberately not made them clickable, because I want casual readers to stop and think before downloading.

The file sizes are 484,352 and 1,049,920 bytes respectively. Internet Explorer seems to have a habit of truncating manual downloads: Chrome seems better.
