Hmm, that was a very pleasant surprise :-) I've just enjoyed a pint of Slater's Haka New Zealand Pale Ale, smooth for a pale, very pale, and nicely hopped - the bottle says dry hopped in the conditioning cask for three weeks. A really nice summer time tipple. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Slater's Haka New Zealand Pale Ale I'd like to try that but bet I haven't a chance to see one. The micro brews here do a pretty good job with some good beer but I'm always willing to try a new one. |

Sadly for you, you are probably right. As far as I'm aware Slaters brews are only available in the Stafford area of Staffordshire. It has that sort of freshness that suggests that travelling more than a few tens of miles would not be good for it. A few beers were sunk today at the Celtic Festival in Glen Innes (northern NSW) but now it's time to relax with a couple of rum & cokes. Cheers. |

I like trying all kinds of beer and I'm not stuck on any one kind. Just what kind is up to the type of day I'm having. ;)) |

Cocktail o' clock tonight...Feel like Margherita's or maybe Mojito's... One time (in my younger days) I tried ever clear, if you haven't don't because it's 150 proof. it will blow you away. stick to beer ! LOL It was 180 proof but they said it was too strong and the gov. pulled it down and made it to 150. It will make you go blind. (really) My daughter had a freind found dead on his front lawn one time because of it. Just like moon shine. :O |

Cocktail o' clock tonight...Feel like Margherita's or maybe Mojito's... Everclear? I used to get that at the Navy package liquor store in Charleston SC. 1 pint in a 20-gallon tank of gas cleaned my carburator and engine better than anything they had at the auto-parts store. Some of my shipmates used to mix it 1-to-3 with fruit juice, but I never touched the stuff. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

Everclear would take the rust off a car let alone drinking it straight. ;0 |
