I have to say that on the face of it, I cannot defend any of it, and nor should I either.

Spout off at the heckler while ignoring the issues mentioned.......

If you bother to read my post properly, you will see that I was agreeing with you, that the stories you highlighted were about undefendable behaviour.

becoming more common from Lib-Dem pukes

Oh look, we have found a new word, that must make the vocabulary nearly 1000 now then.

your post was read & about to give you a +1, until this appeared......

It seems like he still needs to grow 2 BIG ones

Definitely a Stich-up

"Tory MP Zac Goldsmith said the power to "recall" an MP should lie in the hands of voters - not a committee of MPs."

Poor Beattie, in the news again & all for the wrong reasons.......

UK Ministers defend Chinese deal amid security warnings

"The government has defended UK deals with Chinese firms - amid warnings that security risks in infrastructure contracts were being "overlooked".

"It is a personal priority of mine to increase trade links between the UK and China and I cannot emphasise enough that the UK is open to Chinese investment."

Just how much did they slip you, Georgie Porgie?

Oy Taffy, got your pills handy?

Official printed word from our resident Mr Misery guts

Britain at it's best

Been to most of them stated in the article, except the Cairngorms. All fantastic places in Spring, Summer & Autumn.

Still prefer the Lake District though.

Sirius I read you post and without even looking at the link I knew it was about Huawei . The Australian government has banned that company from working on the infostructure to build our broadband network . Your Gov should ask why , we have closer ties than you guys do with China but still banned that company from working on it

I don't even trust the company enough, to buy one of their mobile phones! It may be the right price and have the features that I want (and a load that I don't want or need, as per many) but for me, it'll be a 'lesser spec' Nokia again. How the Hell do the various governments (Dave's Idiot Confederation of Klutz, for the UK Government, in this case) who complain about Chinese government 'hacking', then go onto having no problem with telecoms link-ups with companies who are quite possibly doing some of that dirty work, that they're complaining about? Are politicians even more stupid than we know they are?

P.S. Ex RAF Int.

One moment being prudish, another being strict & now this? Very nice highlighting what most understood without it

Typical selfish bureaucrat, in that they being the only ones with a sense of so called humour, no wonder the bloody country is in a mess as their sense of humour is "sod you Jack, I'm alright" & their favourite pet hate: -

"We don't like to air our dirty laundry in public" Well, they shouldn't dirty their pants every day then! & when caught out, refer to commoners reading the likes of the "Waily Fail"........

...how laughable from a wannabe politician!

This, is exactly what I was drawing attention to. The arrogance. The sheer contempt that these self-styled politicians, have, for the electorate - that they know what is best for us, never mind what they pledged. Oops, its Friday and I shouldn't give my opinions on politics on a Friday, as I have to work Monday to Friday, plus, one weekend in four. This is well-known to have a negative effect on the regard that people in work, have, towards work. In the absence of Ronnie Barker, I bid you a 'good night, from all of us'!

Well I'll be blowed, so reading the likes of the "waily fail" & putting what I read alongside with what I see everyday to make an educated analsys marks me out as an anarchist?

...or a "closet tory"?

...or a Mr Misery Guts who dislikes everyone?

Did I or Did I not state that basing the prediction on what has happened, is happening & what may to continue to happen - austerity not over until 2020?

Good god in heaven, here are those with letters after their names saying exactly that!!!!!!

Stick that in your pipe Sir Humphrey & smoke it!

Austerity may last until "2020" & not a "waily fail" in sight!!

I most certainly will. Most of your outpourings are only fit for burning, I'll be happy to add your latest one to it.

The next time I see one of those lorries I'll let its tyres down!!!

Yeah I know, as unofficial Ombudsman around here I was on patrol :-) I'll let you off this time ...

They could call it the Arrogance Repelled in Selfish England party.

How very politically correct of you! Do as I say, not do as I do!

Iona. Yes, it is an island, and one of special importance to many Scots, their kin and descendants - for example, the last and greatest leader of the Labour Party is buried there - John Smith. A charismatic man of wit, common-sense and intelligence, whose work in changing the Labour Party in the UK, was hi-jacked, on his untimely death, by Tony Blair, to suit his own purposes. Riches.

To be honest, Chris, I'm really offended by your comment and will take no further part in this 'conversation'.

For one who is retired with not much to do with their time & bored with themselves, entering politics so that they can make a change from the inside is laughable, those that could, have & did enter politics when it counted.

Mr S has proven himself to be a control freak & wishes to have total sway over everything he participates in & those who do not meet his "standards" he criticises/insults/demeans.

Unfortunately, there are those of us who know his standards which to say the least is exactly that of our current mopheads in Westminister.

People like us, he would dearly love to hide away from public view as it upsets the "applecart" - As seen already from the past, leopards never can change their spots.....

...your posts are welcome, so don't let the "control freaks" win!
