Message 1362645 - Posted: 29 Apr 2013, 18:44:51 UTC - in response to Message 1362641.

America was pre-warned several times regarding Japan, they chose to ignore it. Stalin was warned by Britain that Russia was about to be attacked, yet he ignored it, Churchill warned that the end of WWI was but a truce & he was declared a warmonger.

There is some truth in that Why thank you. nothing like actual history to make a point that cannot be refuted

Firemen's strike back in the 70's, the army with their green goddesses were stretched to breaking point

I believe that they have all gone, I think that was a mistake. Totally agree

Prepared? You're talking through that very large hole in your butt to think that the police & armed forces can cope should it really erupt......

No comment. Afraid that it may actually happen then?

..oh yes, the likes of people like you will be well protected by armed police in your "gated" communities

What the hell are you talking about? I live in a terrace house on a busy main road, and will continue to do so whatever transpires. Any role that I might play in any eventual disruption will be along the lines of the Salvation Army and the old Civil Defence Corp, where as civilians we provide backup to the general public in times of conflict. was being extremely sarcastic! You're showing that your head is so far up in the clouds that the rarefied atmosphere is affecting your brain cells. It has been often quoted but never applied - To maintain the peace, always prepare for war. The same can be said for law & order. Oh crap, these plebs are costing us too much, we've got no money to spend on our pet projects - I know, lets cut their manpower, more money for us to feast on!

Shades of Easter 1916, let me guess the 21st century's version of the Black & Tans?

Yes please, bring it on!

I am not going to reply to that.
Oh & why not? Try researching them & you'll find out why I stated that!

Clear evidence then that the major parties are really wooried about UKIP's
popularity. It may also be down to the fact the the UKIP having no M.P's at
Westminster therefore don't constitute a real political party as such. So how
are the big guns going to deal with this popular party then? I know one thing,
If they deal with the UKIP in the wrong way they may end up getting the result
that they were hoping to quash....a bigger increase in popularity and support.
The next round of election will be interesting, if the UKIP keep gaining more seats
then we're going to see some real backside twitching going on...all round....
...Sainsbury's have a really good deal on "Botty paper" at the moment, buy one
and get two free...choice of three colour schemes, Red, Blue and yes you've guessed it,
Yellow and Orange striped.

...no doubt more compliments to come my way via Chrissiewissie...

21st Century's Judas

Perhaps he fancies being another James Callaghan and by going cap-in-hand to
the IMF shows Brussels just how good a European he is....look Brussels we're
going to sink ourselves just like you have...that's what friends are for...all
putting ourselves in the same boat....you sink and we'll join hands and sink
with you.

No, not fighting mood, just damned scared & annoyed that I'm not in my 20's. What many do not realise abut universal credit is that NO CASH will be involved as eventually it will all be on Smart Cards like our bus tickets a la Smart cards here & Oyster cards in London.

What has that got to do with riots & other crimes? Simple, no tobacco or booze will be allowed to be purchased via them. So that will immediately create issues with alcoholics & druggies.

I meant what I said about being prepared is forewarned, as the other way around does not mean that the authorities are prepared.

Ulster should have shown this country's government just how bad things & also how quickly they can get out of hand.

To quantify this statement, Athens Madrid & Paris recently should have added to that forewarning - was much notice taken - Very much doubt it as there are too many East India Company relics circa 1800's like Mr S in power both here & in Brussels!

'Nigel Farage is a rather engaging geezer': Boris Johnson warns Tories not to 'freak out' as UKIP leader hits back at 'racists' jibe.

* London Mayor says Tories must relax about UKIP's 'pint and cigar' appeal
* UKIP leader Nigel Farage accuses Tories of losing the argument
* Admits candidates say 'silly things' online 'after they've been to the pub'
* Labour plans to block UKIP from TV leaders' debates ahead in 2015
* Analysis suggests a £120 billion budget black hole in UKIP's manifesto

Well there you go then, it's the bar stool preachers party! You read it here first :-) This is better than watching Popeye "Oh my gosk, Nigel's in trouble, wheres me spinach ....

OMG! I've got to apologise to Chris S - he's not an East India Company relic after all.....
