It's like anything else, just down to experience. The more you do it the better you get.

In my first 6 months, there were a few walls in the South-East that needed rebuilding :(

Edit: Have even taken some road signs for a ride, as well as some telegragh poles.

Ever since I saw Summer Holiday with Cliff Richard as a lad, I've fancied having a go on a London bus. Yeah OK, the old ones had a Wilson pre-select box, but I've driven an old Lanchester car hat had that. But you can keep the artics, many years ago I had a go at reversing a car and caravan into a driveway. After a dozen tries I gave up and let the owner do it in one. You need reverse thinking!!!

Now imagine something 7 times longer and trying to revese . Only seen it done once and he only had to go back a few meters , me nada where's the roundabout hehehe

Wonder if we'll ever see a Maggie note, I would guess not though. Sir Winston Churchill is pretty much known throughout the whole world as Britains WWII leader, and his historic 1941 meeting with Roosevelt resulting in the Atlantic Charter made him known to Americans. I don't think that Thatcher was that well known outside of Europe.

Winston note

Chris, She was well known here in the states. And for myself I respected her. She did what needed to be done and damn her popularity. A leader leads regardless of what the polls show.

She deserves a place in history.

However, it's been on Hague's wish list for months, so, pray tell (asides from a humanitarian reason), just what is Britain's interest in Syria?

This was asked on 9th Dec 2012 which never did receive a clear & precise answer! Maybe now it will....

Del-boy wants to do a B liar job

..... Shades of Iraqi Deja Vu..........

"It follows evidence from the US and the UK that Syrian government troops may have used chemical weapons.

US President Barack Obama has pledged a "vigorous investigation" after US intelligence found Syria may had used the nerve agent sarin."

Both nations can't find the funds to restart growth in their economies, yet can find funds for military campaigns?

No EU debate on this then Del-boy? Hmmn, wonder why not?

I agree that the Syrian gov is a bad one but like you said sounds like the agency's are up to there old games .Sometimes you need a basket case gov in power to stop them all fighting each other case in point Iraq Saddam was bad but at least bombs weren't going off everyday and hundreds killed

Agreed. I was in the RAF, until the early 80's and it was pretty obvious then, how things were going. Of course, our Political Masters (Russian 'boats' had 'Political Officers', so, what is the difference?) who were once 'servants', will deny that they would do anything that would undermine a 'democratically' elected government. Even if it raised their 'profile' with the electorate? Thats a pretty familiar path that has been trodden, in the last 30 years or so.

Another case of WMD here. Looking at photo's published in the media press, what
looks like the effects from chemical attack appears more like someone has had
shaving cream applied around their mouth to create a false image!!!

It has now been confirmed that the RAF is using 'armed drones' in Afghanistan, which are remotely controlled from RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire. It looks to me like, 'call me Dave', will soon be, making a shift in Tory policy and nationalising all aero-modelling clubs, to make all the Defence cuts on his watch, appear to be a little more cost effective. When one considers all the incidents involving pilots in the aircraft and 'friendly fire', surely, the last thing needed, is, a caffeine addicted 'gamer', blasting away at something where 'lag' is involved! If you think I'm nuts, think again and think things through...if this is what things are now at, why would you need a 'qualified' pilot, rather than a thrill-seeking caffeine addict? Thirty years ago, I remarked that, if ever re-called, I would not fight for this wretched country, due to being treated like rubbish, as service personnel usually were and still are....things have got worse since then. I now regard Guido Fawkes as a martyr!
