After that then any hours worked above this would be classed as overtime. But not necessarily paid at a higher rate though just flat rate in most cases. Sirius b you a trucker ? Over here mate no more than 6hrs at wheel in 1 stint and max of 12hrs in 24 hr . The working week is 38hrs man 48 to much 60-70 way to much . How about less hrs more jobs and a little less money so employer can hire more people .ops your gona say COMMIE !!!! 4.5 hours continuous driving before you must take a 45 minute tacho break. Also, some jobs require a 2 man crew. can you see one man delivering a 120 kilo piece of furniture or a 20 kilo glass cabinet? edit: 41 - 60 hours time & a half, over 60 double time. |

It seems that the old way of running a country seems to have worked better than the current way.... NHS considers hospital Hotels A comment on the article speaks volumes..... "Nothing whatsoever new about this idea, when I trained as a nurse we had convalescent homes and nursing homes for exactly this reason. They were relaxed places with a good atmosphere, then closed by government decree to save money. What a surprise this has come round again!" |

It seems that the old way of running a country seems to have worked better than the current way.... The inner city hospital my mother (retired 30 years ago) worked in, it's now closed, had a whole floor of eight wards, that were used for convalescent and nursing of older patients. That would have been at least 200 patients. |

Good God, me a nurse? No chance, I like putting people in hospitals too much especially ignorant car drivers who cut up lorry drivers! Bit awkward to argue with a 44 tonner! |

Don't need a law, just need police/vosa at all ports checking their tacho's which should be a lot easier now they're digital. Too many of them that have caused accidents here have been found to have driven continuously for 30 hours & longer, that's an accident waiting to happen! It should also be a criminal offence for any lorry to have TV's in the cab. That's what radios are for! |

It should also be a criminal offence for any lorry to have TV's in the cab. That's what radios are for! The old bill no longer nead to see the drivers tacho. Just plugs in a reader & everything is shown. The question is: - Will they do that? |
