The local Seaton Town Council is a total joke and worse than Peyton place. Not that long ago we had the Mayor married to the Town Clerk, how incestuous was that? Then I found out that she had put the house in her name so he didn't have to declare it on his register of interests!

Well you can start by clarifying that remark!

Hmmn, I call those in authority that fiddle their expenses bent only for you to ridicule with your stupid cartoons, yet here we are -
They are a bunch of money grabbing lying bastards
What changed?

Isn't it nice to see them show a keen interest in our health

"The NICE guidelines called for more free supplements and for supermarkets to sell low-cost tablets."

That's Tesco's back in the black :-)

From sloppy journalism to sloppy management! Where next for the NHS?

I was there 2 weeks ago & will be there again in 2 weeks time. The hospital itself is marvellous & the staff excellent, as proven by this report...

Senior management had "lost their grip on some of the basics".

...maybe it's time that hospitals are run by those that matter & "admin" placed in their cubbyholes to administer the "paperwork"

The shortage of staff at the Karolinska University Hospital is so great that the hospital management now as a crisis measure closes the children emergency room at Huddinge hospital at night.
The Karolinska hospital expect that average ten children per day will be affected by the measure.

- It's a very difficult situation. But we must be there for the sick patients, and this is a timely decision which will ease the pressure on Huddinge immediately.

He estimates that 15 nurses would be recruited to run the children emergency room at Huddinge hospital.

Ok 15 nurses. How much do they cost?
Kick 2 or 3 administrators and problem solved!

Kunduz hospital bombed

Doctors without borders (MSF) staff accept that their calling involves risk, but this is a disgrace. :-(

Military analyst at the Pentagon knew that the building in Kunduz was a hospital, according to an intelligence source. The United States insists that it was used by a Pakistani Taliban leaders, but none of the 22 who were killed in the bombing were Pakistanis.
- This means that this is a case of a premeditated massacre, says Meinie Nicolai, president of MSF's operational management, to the AP.
The news agency has received information from a former agent who knows the intelligence gathered before the attack on 7 October.

4 years to get an apology, that's what happens with beaurocrats in charge...

Late apology

... yet they are people out there whose life is over & wish to pass on gracefully yet are prevented from doing so as it's against the law...

..SO WHY DNR's? WHAT's the difference?

Okay folks, hope everyone had a good holiday. I've just experienced at first hand just what the staff in hosptials have to endure. They deserve my utmost respect & gratitue.

Have only just returned home after spending this week in hospital recovering from a mild stroke.

I'm sorry to hear that Sirius and I guess that your heavy vehicle license has now been suspended as well. :-(

Cheers.

Thanks folks. From what I've been told, have to wait 6 months. By then I hit 60, so think it's time to call it a day.
