A little more food, for thought -- Are You a Robot? The question is frequently asked: "Are you a robot?" Consider those who designed the question -- Are they, robots? * * * jrm 27 April 2023 |

My Survey You should have received an app, enabling you to complete a survey of our latest coffee-break. Hopefully, you will fill it out. The company I've contracted to run the survey, promises an adequate return on my investment. This approach to interpersonal relationships is the answer to K-plans and Social Security. See you at coffee, tomorrow! * * * jrm 27 June 2022 |

Humanity's Legacy * The End There was nobody to hear rolling thunder, in a hot, dry, dark sky. Humanity's receipt, for not believing in a global warming -- until it was too late. * * or, * * A New Beginning We survived global warming! How we successfully met humanity's greatest challenge, only history can tell. But, A legacy was left, for our descendants. * * * jrm 30 July 2022 |

The New Aliens Entanglement, is their new environment. Communication, at a distance? Name your distance. It's irrelevant. Space-time surprises. Black holes have boundaries. We all have boundaries. No information is lost. History repeats -- around infinities . . . Around the new aliens. * * * jrm 15 Aug. 2022 |

The world is, still, spooky things at a distance, Julie. Good to see you on DPC! Now, how about one, from you! |

Addressing the Elephant in the Room And, so, we try to do our best, to improve our worldly lives. But constraints have arisen. A hike in North Dakota, where a local fellow told me about rabbit cycles. Knowledge gained, about the "magic number" of fish in a bowl. Mr. Malthus' observations on human population sizes. Are there too many of us? Do our numbers, alone, cause global warming? Could we avoid economic collapse if we humanely reduce our global impact? Who will compensate the poor, if they, also, are asked to reduce their future family sizes? How to explain, about their desired sacrificial contribution, brought about by the world's affluent? Will democratic ways suffice, or will authoritarian steps be needed, via, say, the United Nations? * * * jrm 12 Sept 2022 |

Julie -- It's, certainly, a tough subject to deal with -- our darling children/future tots. Ref., for a prose approach, in the March issue of "Scientific American", "The Eight-Billion-Person Bomb", by Naomi Oreskes, p. 76. |

Poor Timing? Remove resource pressure on Europe, via Bering Strait- underground railway? However, Oil drilling might be authorized in Alaska's North Slope. Repercussions? More global warming? To be discussed. * * * j.r.m. 15 March 2023 ps, ref. "Prisoners of Geography", by Tim Marshall |

Virtualitis We are dying of . . . Repeat? We are dying of . . . Repeat? The repetitious world dominates our senses -- It's virtual business -- and virtual schooling. Life is survival. Life is survival. Stay out of our way in a new world. Virtualitis. Virtualitis. * * * jrm 22 March 2023 |

To elaborate, a bit. . . Signs of the Times Boarded up pharmacy windows. Increasingly . . . Flashing red lights, sirens, from fire trucks, and ambulances; rotating blue lights from police cars. Repetitious music in coffee houses. All seats taken by virtual workers and their clients. Most people glued to their cell phones, as opposed to reading. Don't like it? Consider joining your real friends? Don't like it? It could get worse, before it gets better. * * * jrm 3 April 2023 |

This poem was inspired by reading/pictures seen, in, "Your Brain on Art", by Susan Magsamen and Ivy Ross. It's ultimate interpretation is up to you, the reader, of course! My heart goes out to those, in the real world, who are obliged to walk those paths> Paths to Take No way out. No way in. There's no doubt, when you begin. Faces hidden in the trees. Paths you're bidden -- lives appease? Will you join them? No more cares? New directions, taken? Hopes to spare? There's no doubt, when you begin. * * * jrm 4 April 2023 |

Sparkling Light A sparkle of hope In a sea of dispair. That is what you mean. A sparkle of light In the vastness of space. That's what you are. A drop of respect Falls on your wisdom, Which I admire so much. A drop of my tears Rolls down your eyes, That see it all. A breeze of love In your storm of anger, Is what I give, to you. A breeze of joy In my achy head, Is what I send to you. Sparkling light, That's what you are, That's what you mean, That's what I see, That's what you give, That's what you send, to me. Wisdom and joy, Love and respect, You are, You mean. I see We will give That sparkling light. To you. To you. To you. DJ'16 *Track 1 on As It Shone* rOZZ Music Pictures |
