Children Of Light

Children of light, re-unite!
Go to the forests of your soul.
Swim in the water, and make it whole.

Lose yourselves in the wonders of life.
Lose yourselves and take a dive.
Children of light, re-unite!

Bright light in the sky,
Bright light, the wonders of life.
Take a dive, children of light.

Forget the night, children of light.
Take a look beyond the sky, children of light.
Feel the beat of your shining hearts,
Feel the sun, never apart.
Children of light, re-unite!

Find yourselves in the wonders of life.
Find yourselves and take a dive.
Children of light, no more need to fight.

Sometimes, poems, puzzles, and life, itself, can cause a person to scratch the head. To figure it all out. . . perhaps, it's better to just
scratch the head!

A Double Puzzle

Two pictures, to be made into one --
with three playing
the game.

A complex situation,
with different approaches taken.
And, the ultimate picture . . .

Not yet determined.

Then, again,
perhaps
it has been determined.

Karin Boye's poem "In movement"

The sated day is never first.
The best day is a day of thirst.

Yes, there is goal and meaning in our path -
but it's the way that is the labour's worth.

The best goal is a night-long rest,
fire lit, and bread broken in haste.

In places where one sleeps but once,
sleep is secure, dreams full of songs.

Strike camp, strike camp! The new day shows its light.
Our great adventure has no end in sight.

A Palm's Sacrifice

Another slice with a knife.
Another frond sailed down.
Another day of strife.
A second parade's sound.

Soft footsteps' tread.
A donkey's sure pace.
A faint source of dread,
where trumpet sounds led.

In infinite time,
an intrusion made.
The Creator's decision --
a debt to be paid.

A cross wringed with thorns.
The primacy of love.

There is indeed a debt to be paid to the Creator, Jim. Nice poem :)

There We Go oh oh

Floating on to distant dreams,
And there we go oh oh..

And while thinking of it,
We go oh oh along those brick walls,
Feeling their cold hearts,
Oh how to warm them with the light?

There we go oh oh..

And I've lost it,
I've lost the damn highway..

And there we go oh oh,
And while thinking it,
I've lost the damn highway,
Feeling their cold hearts.

Oh, how to warm them with the light?

Giving them those distant dreams,
Lost in the vastness of space.

And there we go oh oh...
The cold hearts and the broken dreams.

I am thinking of it.

This Song

This song is for the lonely souls tonight.

This song... Will kill you,
Before you've seen the light.

Where do all the travellers go
On the downstream home?

This song... Will kill you.

I think of you, lonely souls tonight.
When will you see the light?

This song, oh this song
Will tell you a story.

This song, oh this song
Will kill you.

A Bull in the China Shop

Down, with a crash!
Porcelain toys,
financed with cash,
for world's girls and boys.

Men on the moon,
build China shop, too.
Needing no room
for bulls who would rule.

Build porcelain toys
that study the sky.
Collaborative joy,
for those who would try.

Saying to Earth-friends:
Don't spit into wind.

C'est La Vie

The waves of the sea
Look at me in my rocking boat.
So it be mote!

"De aarzeling komt twijfelend om de hoek
En toont mij het blauwe licht in de kamer
Van mijn beste vriend."

Can't you see the centre of it all?

And so we forgot about the air in the sky,
The words in our mouth and the tiny
Notes of music in the sky.

So it be mote,
Note for note,
C'est la vie.

Can't you see the centre of it all?

Hope Of The Sands

Sands in time,
We will forever be.
The mirrored beach,
Reflecting to the sky,
Resolving into the water of the sea,
We will forever be
The hope of the sea,
The hope of the sands,
The hope of the saints.
Refrain from being starved
In the sciences of life.
Hope of the sands,
Hope of the sea,
This is all between you and me,
Between sky and lands,
Between sorrows and grands.
This is all hope of the sands.
This is all time, when the sands, sun and sky
Sing the hope of the sea,
The hope off you and me.

Salvation

If God will save us from ourselves,
Will He, then, match our sins, in kind?
With dimly-heard, the coming bells,
providing, yet, familiar sign . . .

A silent blackness, born of stress,
to save us from a burnt-out world.
A plague, that will not take redress,
except, the gift of death, unfurled . . .

To ruthlessly tear people's souls,
and leave their bodies by the road.
No friend or foe would pay the toll,
to chance beside that dire abode.

The scourge will end.
A new amen.

Le Brouillard

Son coeur a laissé
le chambre libre
A l'oiseau.

Pour trainer
Sans le miracle
Dans un ciel
De brouillard.

Vole une peu
Dans les émeraldes
Du coeur de la terre.

Le ciel est avec nous,
Nous, les héros, trainant
Dans un monde sans miracle.

Laissons le chambre
Libre à l'oiseau.
Laissons le ciel
Libre aux étoiles.
Laissons la terre
Libre aux amis.

On cours après le miracle
Au fond de nos coeurs,
Au bout de la terre.

Le brouillard, entre les arbres
S'évanouit, direction étoiles,
Qui doivent ëtre nées.

Reflection, absorption où émission,
Tout est la verité, exactement,
Comme notre bon Dieu.

A Sign II

The doorstep left a leaf in front.
It wouldn't move, so the wind did take it.
It did not leave a sign on the ground,,
That soil, that is drying out under our feet.

How big the drought is, only our Lord can see.
Where do the lonely travellers go to,
Once the song is dead,
When even the sand is gone,
When the sign is gone
And breaks the singer of the song.

We go away from the drought
Under our heavy feet,
Where there is no sign to be found.

The wind did take it
And blew it into the arms of love,
With an army of love.

They left a sign.

Johnny Sadman

I'm a fan of Johnny Sadman
And together we will make it
And live the dream of Johnny Sadman.

He is sad, Johnny Sadman,
He needs more fans
Who want to dance
With Johnny Sadman.

Dance with Johnny Sadman,
Wherever He may have ran
Because He's sad.

Who wants to dance
With Johnny Sadman?
Who wants to be His
Number one fan?

Johnny Sadlman kills the light
Because He owns it.

I'm a fan of Johnny Sadman.

On The Flip Side

In the midst of it all,
I am surrounded by the cold,
But the cold is surrounded too,
It is surrounded by the void,
Which is cold too, at times.

Yes, the Lord, that's who you're talking too,
Talking to me, that's what you can find on the flip side.

No one can hear it,
Everyone hears him...
No, not the void.

On the flip side, is where I'll be,
Where the Love is,
Where the Life is.

On our rock, revolving,
Following the universal spin,
I am surrounded by the cold,
That give me chills,
Even in the warm sunshine.

It is surrounded by the void,
Yes, the void, which is cold too, at times.

On the flip side is where I'll be,
Where my heart is,
Where a new start is.

What?

Speed limit is thirty-five miles per hour.
Gas is rationed.
Beef is rationed.
Sugar is rationed.

Nobody complains.

Global warming's extreme rules?

No.
WWII.

A Patch-Work Quilt

A patch-work quilt, from coast to coast,
that citizens did plant, today.
It left the reps. no time to boast,
when people did it, all, their way.

Perennials, called weeds, that spoke:
We want the bees and birds to find
that we do speak for every folk,
to heal this land, we have a mind.

Just turn us loose, that's all we ask,
to transform carbon in the air . . .
for all of us, a simple task . . .
sweet oxygen, again, in air.

Let liquid sunshine, once more reign,
in Oregon, nay, fruited plain.
