Provide
an Analogy
for the
Incomprehensible

An incomprehensible example
is needed,
but
existence is comprehensible.

Is it?

Define the boundaries
of all substance,
including energy
and time!

They originated . . .

But, from what?

The incomprehensible
creation.

How can it be analyzed?

Use time, as a tool.

For example,

A carousel's existence
may be measured
by the music
it has played.

And, that
is an analogy
for the
incomprehensible.

TAE A FERT

Oh what a sleekit horrible beastie
Lurks in yer belly efter the feastie
Just as ye sit doon amang yer kin
There sterts to stir an enormous wind.
The neeps and tatties and mushy peas
Stert workin like a gentle breeze
But soon the puddin wi the sonsie face
Will have ye blawin’ aw ower the place.
Nae matter whit the hell ye dae
Awbody’s gonnae have tae pay
Even if ye try tae stifle,
It’s like a bullet oot a rifle.
Haud yer bum ticht tae the chair
Tae try and stop the leakin air
Shift yersel frae cheek tae cheek
Pray tae God it disnae reek.
But aw yer efforts go asunder
Oot it comes like a clap o’ thunder
Ricochets aroon the room
Michty me, a sonic boom!
God almight it fairly reeks;
Hope I huvnae $hit ma breeks
Tae the bog I’d better scurry
Aw whit the hell, it no ma worry.
Awbody roon aboot me choking,
Wan or two are nearly bokin
I fee much better for a while
Cannae help but raise a smile.
Wis him! I shout with accusing glower,
Alas too late, he’s just keeled ower
Ye dirty 8ugger they shout and stare
I dinnae feel welcome any mair.
Where ere ye go let yer wind gan free
Sounds like just the job fur me
Whit a fuss at Rabbie’s perty
Ower the sake o’ wan wee ferty.

Aye Lass, that's nearly pure Scots, which is a language not a dialect, and the first language I spoke. Although these days I struggle to speak it I can understand and translate it quite fluently.

Perhaps, striking a match would put an end to it?

Har-de-har, etc.

Well, I could understand most of it, but if you would have read it out loud to me, I am sure I would have been lost.

The Dog Who Chased His Tail

One day, a dog decided to chase his tail.
He succeeded in catching it in his teeth.

Without going into details,
he was able to eat his tail.

And, he kept eating, until --
he disappeared.

And, yet,
he didn't, really, disappear, at all.

At least, not
from the creation.

Among the Pieces

Who's side are you on?

And, so we sort it out --
among the newly-formed
pieces.

Ocean Spray

Waves crashed upon the ancient shore.
Then, rolling quartz was heard no more.

Streaming toward the ocean spray,
red seaweed's residents held sway.

Hark! A wooden beak jabbed down,
to lift the hordes, without a sound.

A larger target, warrior-blue,
raised ceramic claws, of his, to rule.

With snap of beak, a cracking sound,
a view of limb down gullet-bound.

The fight was lost; towards water's-edge,
the warrior-blue did streak, with dread.

Too far to reach, from laughing beak,
another claw from body, meek.

One by one the smaller feet
went down the gull's relentless beak.

Motionless, expressionless,
an end of life, at hand.

The final thrust was dealt.
A life for life, on sand.

The ocean spray returned, once more,
to change the daily scene.

From fading dot in eastern sky
was heard a seagull's final scream.

Ocean Spray II

Waves crashed upon the ancient shore.
Then, rolling quartz was heard no more.

Streaming toward the ocean spray,
red seaweed's residents held sway.

Hark! A wooden beak jabbed down,
to lift the hordes, without a sound.

A larger target, warrior-blue,
raised ceramic claws, of his, to rule.

With snap of beak, the bird withdrew;
in startlement, spread wings and flew.

A nearby couple did not see
the change in nature's harmony.

The crab, ignored, crept closer, yet.
Ceramic claws, their words, they kept.

The ocean spray returned, one more
to change the daily scene.

From fading dot in eastern sky
was heard a seagull's final scream.

I'm going to read both of these last two poems during Early Music Week,
at the World Fellowship Center (so. of Conway, N. Hampshire), this
coming June. There is a crying need -- from my perspective -- for
everyone to realize that today's accelerated change (a second Renaissance)
is having a more profound affect on the people of the world, than it did
during the first Renaissance.

The first took place over three hundred years, and even then, the reaction
took the form of wars, and more wars.

What transpired on the beach between the crab and the couple on the blanket,
could well have turned out more brutally, for them, than for the crab, in
the first poem. And, all under the guise of government control against
reactions to our second Renaissance.

Is this far-fetched? I hope so, Julie.

Mental Floss

"I floss my ears
before each day."
My dentist laughs --
"Bite down.", he'd say.

"That's new, to me.",
he did admit --
and out the door,
to share my wit.

"It help me keep
my sanity,
and, save on meds,
for dentistry."

'A test, for you,
$7K, today.
"Key West, for us!",
my wife, will say.'

I floss my ears,
unknown, to him.
Through shiny teeth,
I flourish grin.

"Thanks, for the chat,
and brand-new smile.
Enjoy your stay
with crocodile!"
