OK great! It's April 4 today and the scheduler is not responding to my update request. What's UP? Looks like you have 26 units in progress on 2 rigs. The other two haven't tried to contact the project since before the outage. Did you set them to NNT? ![]() ![]() |

Wow, that's fast. I'd estimate it's 100 times faster than I had been getting downloads. I no longer have to worry about half of my downloads stalling through the night and needing a "kick" in the morning to finish downloading. I might even turn the astropulse ones back on, (those things took forever to download, so I turned them off as not worth messing with on a mobile system.) |

Fantastic speed, easily 100+ times quicker here in Ireland. Great work guys n gals! Might have to turn all rigs on to Seti and see what I couldn't do for the last 13 years B-) and now........Let the crunchin commence..... Cheers Rob. |

I'm glad everything went well in the move. Sometimes I just don't understand where "the powers to be" come from. You have to shut down your systems for an upgrade to the power and then within a month your told to move to another place. Those "power's to be" don't realize what is involved in that. I was in the AF working an IT section and they told us that we had to move to another building. I told them Really? we can't just pick up our PC's and move. The servers, both Unix and Windows, are tied to the base with fiber connected to this building, Are you going to move the fiber also? When I told them the cost they couldn't believe it. How about Management doing some research before they make decisions. Hopefully your new facility had the same or better bandwith. In my case they would have had to move the fiber also. God I'm glad I'm retired and don't have to put up with that S..t anymore. << Jim >> Member B-52 Stratofortress Association Retired Air Force |

Still not getting any WUs since the servers were moved! I have made no changes to my prefs since January. What could be the reason(s?) I can no longer get any WU's? April 1st I moved to an ISP with much better bandwidth and Einstein@home is blasting away but I'd rather be sharing my CPUs with SETI. /eric |

I have the same issue - no WU updates since the move. I was running a package when the move occurred and was set up on a single system. During the move, I set up a second system as well (using my same account). Since the move, neither system is working - they are unable to obtain any new WU's. Is everything OK? |

All four of my rigs are happily grabbing work. As your computer(s) are hidden can't offer anything else. You might want to flush the DNS caches, make sure that you don't have "no new tasks set" check your project priorities, check the work fetch debt, and all the other normal things. Also look at your SETI preferences to be sure you are allowing all applications, and (temporarily at least) try using stock applications. Finally is BOINC asking the project for work? If so what is it logging as a response? ![]() |

Any chance they were using proxies that no longer work/are needed? |

The place to discuss your problems, rather than the server relocation, is in "Number Crunching". Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

The place to discuss your problems, rather than the server relocation, is in "Number Crunching".Sure it is Rob, but mucking your way thru that Fora is a nightmare. Been there and tried. Pluto will always be a planet to me. ![]() Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

Good idea. They co-existed before just fine with my 4-core and set to 50/50 utilization and it occasionally ran 3 E@H to 1 Seti as the Seti downloads were so slow. I have set E@H to No New Tasks but it will take a day or two to run my E@H WUs completely out and I'll see what happens then. /eric |

Still not getting any WUs since the servers were moved! I have made no changes to my prefs since January. What could be the reason(s?) I can no longer get any WU's? AHA!!! Setting NNT made no immediate difference BUT selecting SUSPEND on the E@H project solved the problem. It took a few minutes but I now have 24 S@H WU's. I have now RESUMED E@H and whenever the project sharing algorythm kicks in it should run 2 S@H and 2 E@H. MANY THANKS... /eric |

The place to discuss your problems, rather than the server relocation, is in "Number Crunching".Sure it is Rob, but mucking your way thru that Fora is a nightmare. So lets turn this thread/forum into an equally useless cesspit because no one can use/enforce even the most simple of forum rules. That being post where it's appropriate. |
