Here's an interesting WU: 1092101425

Three validate errors, three resends within six seconds this morning. Almost looks like an effort to clear some of this ancient rubbish out of the database.

Well, my copy is back and has validated the WU. Let's hope the other two new wingmates today are properly handled by the transitioner when they come back - or better yet, get cancelled as "didn't need" before anybody wastes any time on them.

Looking at the sorry collection of wingmates you've had on workunit 1078204856, I think that the most likely explanation is that in one or other of the many crashes and server re-arrangements and re-assignments, the result data file that you uploaded on 13 Oct 2012 has got lost or damaged, and when the time eventually came for the validator to look for it, it was nowhere to be found.

Not a lot anyone can do about that, after all this time.

I should probably know this, but what's a validate error?

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=5947619&offset=0&show_names=0&state=5&appid=

The dates on this one don't even make any sense to me. It suddenly showed up in my invalids this morning, but by the dates it was returned by me and one other user, it seems like it should have been in my inconclusives all this time. I did have an inconclusive going back to November, but its dates don't match up with this one (anyway, that one validated yesterday, finally).

Why does this one show validate error for me, but inconclusive for the other user?
