Hi Craig, Questions are not dumb, only answers!! First off Seti does use a proxy(see FAQs). Now, if you want to set up your Mac to use a proxy server, go to the system confirguration choose network setup, choose your connection, and you will find a tab "proxies". Klick on this and enter your information. thats all Keith J. Schultz schultzk@uni-trier.de |

All other apps work fine including icq, netscape etc. I have read the faq and it says something about setting an evironment variable for http proxy. Do I have to set this ? and how do I do it ? Am I barking up the wrong tree here ? <img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/seti2/stats.php?userID=2072&trans=off"> |

Or maybe a BETTER way to ask this is: "How do I get BOINC to work from BEHIND a FIREWALL?"! my 2¢ Ray Fleischmann /////////////////////////////////// > Hi Craig, > > Questions are not dumb, only answers!! > > First off Seti does use a proxy(see FAQs).
