This evening the Meteor Curator at a London museum was interviewed on Sky News... Anchor: "Is there any connection between the Russian meteorite and the near pass of asteroid DA14?" Scientist: "One object was travelling (roughly) N to S, the other S to N so definitely unconnected." Anchor: "Is there a scientific term for that?" Scientist: "Yes, we call it Sod's law". |

Posting with a minor backache, thinking about going to bed, and annoyed that Verizon's web site says I have to change my cell plan to port my Sprint number over to it. (It was originally my landline number, first assigned to my parents more than four years before I was born.) (It was originally my landline number, first assigned to my parents more than four years before I was born.) I ported My cellphone number from Verizon wireless to Virgin Mobile with no problems, My cellphone number used to be My landline number, with DSL ancient history since I moved to TWC, I now spend $39.99 per month for cellphone and internet access. Virgin Mobile paylo plan 400 minutes for $20 and TWC 3M/1M for $19.99 BYOM(Bring Your Own Modem) as I don't pay a modem rental fee, keep your modem receipt, I got My 5101 modem from Amazon. The Phone is an Entro flip phone that cost Me $14.98 with shipping. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I know that we are grandfathered in to several plans with my proider where I really do not want to change the plan - ever. If I do, I get unlimited service, but it costs 4 times as much. BOINC WIKI |

This doesn't sound too good .... Which from what I read over on the HP, was a twin strike, a pair of asteroids and this isn't the only time this has appears to have happened I read. As to the meteors, I'm glad it wasn't closer than 10 miles up, Tunguska in 1908 Russia(Siberia) I think was closer and flattened trees for a good ways around and that one left a few small calling cards too. Don't know metric, but in my terms, I think they said about 850 square miles. That's a lotta flatland left behind. This doesn't sound too good .... "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

They just showed where this meteor came down at, in a lake in an area that used to be used for the old Soviet Unions nuclear tests, in a frozen lake, made what looks like an 8' hole in the ice, plus it left a few bits in the ice here and there as well. I think, as usual, the government knew more than they told us beforehand and let the cards and the meteor fall. Just my silly ass, totally uninformed, pretending all is well opinion. And, as usuall, if I played all the cards that I have in my hand, some butthole here would just call me a crackpot. So I won't even bother trying to inform anybody. Have a nice meteor showering day. It's gonna start happenning more often. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
