Message 1332212 - Posted: 28 Jan 2013, 13:07:07 UTC - in response to Message 1332160.

I thought this was floor 7 1/2?

I think I could climb to 9 3/4, but no way will my knees make 42.

Like I said. The stairs are perfectly functional. Now you have to work on your knees.

Actually, I recently did 4 flights in a parking garage and then had to walk up the ramp to my car. It took me at least 5 minutes to return to normal breathing.

And it was all for nothing. Godot never showed up.

Never repeat this, but I am beginning to think this Godot fellow may not be that reliable a chap.

He'll even be late to his own funeral!

Ya got that right!
I'm losing faith in this chap.
Maybe we shouldn't wait on him?

I'm just using it as an excuse to hang out and party! (Btw you are blocking the punch)

From what I've learned in school (okay, that's been some time) you can't wait on someone who isn't there, you'll have to wait for him to arrive first. ;-)

I only typed it that way because Godot has me so frustrated, and to check Deutsch grammatical rules vs. Anglo rules. :)

Well, of course I am.
Why do you want to punch me, anyway?

[side note]In certain parts of America, they say "wait on" when they mean either "wait for" or "wait in" (as in "wait in line"). Others of us have not swallowed the Kool-Ade (or is it Kool-Aid?).[/side note]

Perhaps Godot is waiting for us to figure this out before he comes. If so, it will be a long wait all around.

Perhaps we should become capitalist/producers while we await Godot?

Waiting for Godot is a play that's about the passing of time. It asks all the big philosophical questions, about life and death and the uncertain purpose of what goes on in between.

Well, I'm not waiting any longer, at this time of day my certain purpose in life is going down the pub for a lunch time beer :-)

We'll let you know if he came around when you get back.

Conspiratorial whisper to JMVII-yeah, that's our story, and we're sticking to it.

Ahem.....

I have it on pretty good authority that Godot did not arrive as promised. So, what's your excuse this time?

He is perpetually late - like a white rabbit I once met.

Never partook, though I may have inadvertantly received a contact ...., but the more likely explanationis I stumbled across Morpheus while awaiting Godot.
