This is farfetched but will work with the right person. Some trusted person could lend Angela their cruncher till she is up and running properly again. Key word is “trusted” with the sharing of IDs & pass.

No need to go to heroics. Eric has promised to carve out some time this weekend to make things right.

Should it disturb me that all these men are talking about my wife's RAC?

You should be pleased/proud that you've obviously made such a good choice ;-)

No, it should disturb you that your wife is talking about her RAC with all these men.

If the point was to get Dr. Eric's attention, I think Ang succeeded.

Eric knows he's the only one with the power to take our focus of Ang's RAC. :-)

Only if she is flaunting, er, prominently displaying it.

So Ang is still hovering at 4. It took her about 1 week to go from 8 to 4, so I hope her computer gets crunching soon. :-)

Merciful heavens!!!

As luck would have it, this is an unholy busy weekend for 'Ol Pookers. There is a NASA site review coming up for a project he is a part of (not a seti thing) so there are many, many, many things he has to prep today and tomorrow. Then he also has a remote Arecibo observing run tonight around midnight, which means he will be in the lab until after 2am. Then poor Eric has another remote observing round on Saturday around noon. I do not believe he is planning to go to the lab on Sunday, but there is that small matter of a Super Bowl, so all in all it is not looking promising.

The Stupid Bowl is in the evening (okay, late afternoon PST), and anyway, can't he work on the computer and watch at the same time?

Oh, but of course, you live near one of the teams in it.

Angela, if possible - maybe Eric could install a 2nd BOINC on his PC.
He use your EMail & PIN (or you give him only your weak account key ;-) for to attach SAH in the 2nd BOINC.
His PC crunch a few WUs for you and your RAC increase little bit.

.. just an idea.

I don't know how much time is needed for to 'repair' your PC, Angela.

But the idea which I posted earlier in this thread - could be the easiest/fastest solution for your current low RAC.
It could be done - for a project admin ;-) - in 10 minutes ..

Eric's PC crunch 1 day SAH WUs for your account and you have a > 1 RAC for maybe, ~ one month?

So he have a bigger time window for to look to your PC.
