SHOCK! The only thread where you can't post twice in a row is TLPTPW, and there it's only frowned upon. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

You can enter several captions to Beets if you want to. Some people do it all the time. A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. (Mark Twain) |

Ok...now I'll type 'the best ways to spoil your cat'. Hope my boss will take the hint... Does your boss read what you post through his internet connection? David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Ok...now I'll type 'the best ways to spoil your cat'. Hope my boss will take the hint... David asked, does your Boss have access to your email? The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Ok...now I'll type 'the best ways to spoil your cat'. Hope my boss will take the hint... Email or anything else you do on the net. As I sit here, someone over at the School District office could be looking to see what I'm looking at. As soon as I click Post, they can know what I sent. Ok...now I'll type 'the best ways to spoil your cat'. Hope my boss will take the hint... I think german Data Protection guy would get a heart attack! In some german firms bosses can monitor accounts, but it's really a grey zone as far as the law is concerned. A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. (Mark Twain) |

Ok...now I'll type 'the best ways to spoil your cat'. Hope my boss will take the hint... I suspect it's best to assume that any worker can have their comms monitored and recorded. And I would think that is allowable under even current laws concerning. If you are under anything under an employer's inet connection, be sure nothing you can do or say could be missinterpreted. Even I, under my own connection, could be under scrutiny. And, I suspect, given my political views, am monitored by the gov. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Ok...now I'll type 'the best ways to spoil your cat'. Hope my boss will take the hint... I think so. Someone got fired at work because she called in sick to go to Paris. In the meanwhile she posted pics of her trip to Paris on Fb. They must have seen it. I'm always very careful, especially with Fb! rOZZ Music Pictures |

As I sit here, someone over at the School District office could be looking to see what I'm looking at. As soon as I click Post, they can know what I sent. That's just stupid on her part, and not quite what I meant. I could, theoretically, get fired just for using the District's internet connection for something other than work. (I actually did get in trouble for something I posted here about a year ago. Not *just* because I posted it, but because I posted it from work while I should have been working. They have no say over what I post from home unless I slander the District (or one of its employees over something related to work) or disclose confidential information.) Mark, I doubt the government specifically watches you, but the NSA or someone almost certainly scans the zillions of messages each day for hot words and if it detects enough from one source it could trigger a closer look. However, unless you're posting in Politics that you admire Tim McVeigh and wish someone would blow up another building, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Probably a clever thing to do but it's so nice to stay in contact with friends from the past and the present... But of course you can't reconnect with friends and family you have lost contact with via emails and forums. Whilst I don't use facebook much, without it I would not have reconnected with several long lost friends and my sister(who had moved to the US) It defiantly has its place but it is not for everyone. |

As a celebration of Celt's success with his medical treatments, I'd like to propose we assign Celt as winner of "TLPTPW #186 - Is it Summer yet?". He has been through hell and this forum helped him make it through |
