As in .....Les.

Okay, but how does it relate to morning?

OH, you should know.
One of his best known songs was 'How high the moon.'

"Dear one, the world, is waiting for the sunrise..........."

I have used it once in a while when I come back after a rather stormy night.
Les Paul. The world is waiting for the sunrise.

You should have caught that one.

Never heard that song before in my life.

Oh, f me.
You never heard of Les Paul???
He only invented the electric guitar. And heralds from Waukesha, Wi.

I hope I jostle your memory some.
The Les Paul story.........

I've heard of Les Paul, but I only know him as the inventor of the electric guitar. I'm not at all familiar with him as a performer.

My taste in music, what little I have of it, starts about when the Beatles did, i.e., just a few years before I started.

Bit more history for some.......

Les Paul is considered by most to be the inventor of the electric guitar.
There are some quibbles about this, but not many.

He heralded from Waukesha, Wisconsin. About 100 miles southwest of my own location. He defined some rather important aspects of my life.

My dad had every single one of his early albums, and I have vinyl copies of them all on my archive shelves.

Every one.

I am not aware of a single vinyl release that I do not have a copy of.
And a lot of foreign lands that released bogus copies too.

I have about 50 various albums purported to be his and Mary's first recording.

Les Paul, as Mark says, was a very accomplished musician. He was probably one of the first to use many of the techniques employed by today's jazz, rock and pop guitarists in a commercial setting. Add to that some of the "normal" things like multi-tracking, over dubbing and some of the effects he was somewhat ahead of his time. He only died about four years ago - and was playing pretty much up until the end.

You shall just have to know that I shall be here in the morning.......
And could not possibly explain if I were not here.

I don't think I'm quite as old as you are. I'm only 6 months older than Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

And music is not of major importance in my life.

That confirms what I figured - you are at least 10 years younger than Mark and me - which explains your lack of familiarity with Les Paul and Mary Ford.

Not dissing you, my friend.

Other than Seti, music has been my guiding light and the gravitational force that has held me to this planet this long.

If I had not heard Joan Baez's beautiful voice years ago, I might have left the scene long ago.

As the song says........"There but for fortune, go you and I."

As she also sings so beautifully, if people don't like me, they can leave me alone.

She also makes a stunningly funny comment about the IRS......
"If they didn't put it in such stupid places, I would not object..."

A nice copy of a '65 Baez concert.

It don't get much better than this.

I thought sure that after we went from spam through various bad reactions and made our way to cuisine, some jokester would go back to spam.

If you put in Unst and Yell to Google

http://www.nts.org.uk/Property/Unst-Yell/

Seems it is a place in Shetland took me all of two minutes

Perhaps there should be a rule, the two words need to link in Google at least.

Save all arguments!

These two did.

I suspected this would be queried, as Bernie said, put both words into google, other search engines are available, and you get the answer.

http://unst.org/web/location/location/

or you could have tried Wiki.
