Hi everyone, I just installed Linux on my desktop and have a dual boot. Since I'm planning to spend most of my time on Linux, I will have from time to time to connect to Windows. Therefore I was wondering whether there were a possibility for the two BOIN version to share and work on the same task ? Thanks for you help |

Hi everyone, Short answer, no. The Boinc clients are different between the OSs. While you may be able to get your Linux to mount your Windows' NTFS drive, I don't think Boinc would play nice with a shared folder of work units. But, you sure can install Boinc on both operating systems and just run Boinc on whichever OS you are booted into. You can work on the same project on both operating systems, just not the same actual work-unit. #resist |

Thanks, I had no real hope, but always worth asking. |
