EU budget deal unlikely, says Ms Merkel One thing is stilll bothering me about all this: - "She has previously said that another summit may be necessary early next year if no deal can be reached now." Just what is going to change that dramatically within the next 8 weeks? Small storm in a large teacup? "so the numbers don't really add up." & they never will, not until the auditors can sign off the accounts, which after 18 years of being unable to do so, will make even a leprechaun stand tall & ask questions! Nice lunch, no wonder they want to increase the budget Jeebers, what's got into the Mail? A very interesting report, so are they finally waking up & realising that the country has had enough of the muppets in charge & the "highly educated" trolls in the media? Le Basket Case de l'Europe "As part of Mr Hollande’s sycophancy towards the Germans, he has loudly blamed Mr Cameron for holding up the EU budget process through his demand for more austerity. This is stunningly hypocritical, because it is the Germans — not the British — who are increasingly France’s main critics." One issue remains though & that's with our "leaders" - Why aren't they worried? "It is no wonder the Germans are deeply worried. They, with their financial expertise and freedom from socialist doctrine, know that Mr Hollande’s policies can have only one outcome. And it would be an outcome that could leave not just France, but much of Europe, in economic ruins." |

He will know, however, that next year an EU budget deal will have to be done. Really? & just why is that? |

If an agreement is not reached by the end of 2013, the 2013 budget ceilings will have to be rolled over into 2014, together with a 2% inflation adjustment. That gives uncertainty over long-term EU projects. That is not good for anyone. Are you that blind? Of course the uncertainty is good. It will force those unelected muppets in Brussels to hold tigher rein over their budgets rather than wasting it on £120 bottles of red wine! They do that often enough & the budget will in fact be reduced - less wastage! |

One of the major reasons why the EU will never be united & integrated..... Hollande Sauce (© Chris S) proven to be too weak Tories cheer Cameron but demand referendum "Mr Pritchard wants the Coalition to publish a Referendum Bill to set the terms on a public vote. “This should be an in/out referendum – anything short of that simply won’t deliver,†he writes. The MP said that only such an unambiguous question would “assuage the British peopleâ€. However, there is little belief that the budget will be resolved at that meeting either." & that is the bait that could end up trapping him! Even though he's showing his mettle & getting many of his own party behind him, the fact is that many have finally woken up to the cashcow that the EU itself is & with him already offering the referendum mandate (which he failed once to uphold), a referendum before 2015 will become neccessary if he wishes to remain in power! |

Is that the best you could come up with? So there's no wastage then? OK, let's increase the budget as they're all efficient & prudent! |

A Warning for Britain Stay out of the Euro "21 November 2012 9:13pm One tired man alone in the dark: or what becomes of a surrendered StateHere is my Thursday Eurowatch column in the Irish Daily Mail. I've put it here for the eurozone trainspotters amongst you. For the rest, by which I mean all you lucky British who are not caught in the nightmare of the euro, perhaps you can read it and be grateful you and your currency remain independent. And just to remind, Michael Noonan is the Irish finance minister -- watch and see what can happen to the minister of a once-independent country when it joins a currency union." Full Story |

It looks like my estimate of 2020 is looking good! Excellent Ossie, is that to pay for the EU Budget increase then? Tell me this isn't true! "Former PM Tony B-liar has now joined the fight with sceptics" What's the matter cronie? They won't have you as EU president then? |

Tell me this isn't true! Exactly what I thought too. Something had changed and either "Coronation Street son in-law" had finally woken up to the shysters of Brussels scam or that he knows he has no chance of becoming President. The latter obviously for even he has now cottoned on to the fact that to be president of Europe you first have to be a "Commi"!!!..When Adolf departed he left a void, these Brussels lot are rapidly filling it. One thing rather puzzles me (well actually more than one thing, but...) Today we see two groups of people rushing in opposite directions. The first group are those who live in countries that may be described as "federal" in nature, that is the country they live in is actually made up of several different smaller countries. These folks want to break away from the larger country (Scotland/UK & Catalonia/Spain are two examples that have been in the news today). They are wanting this in the belief that as a smaller country they will be in a "better" situation. The second group are those, often in the same countries, who want to create "mega states" by forging ever tighter unions between "small" countries. In the belief that as a large country they will be in a "better" situation. Now both can't be right, or can they... Why Not? After all it is history, or do you wish to alter history for your own ends? Massive inflation & unemployment, together with the reparation payments made Germany a hostile breeding ground...... .... & the difference in the EU today is? |

For some time now you have thought it amusing to regularly change the country in your avatar. Ho ho, that will get 'em niggled. Not at all, it is seen by all as quite childish really. But your choice of Afghanistan this week does deserve some comment. Perhaps you might like to read through the full list below. You sad Welshman! Get a life! check Afghanistan out & you will find many allied military service personnel crunching various projects. I stronlg suggest you think before you post & if nothing valid to say on the threads concerned, refrain from posting. |

For some time now you have thought it amusing to regularly change the country in your avatar. When someone deliberately tries to hide who they are it shows that the next words out of their mouth will be a lie or their next actions dishonest and that they know they are going to lie or be dishonest or both. |

For some time now you have thought it amusing to regularly change the country in your avatar. & who might that be? Becoming quite the physchologist are we? How is it that something quite serious like the world's economy tanking & yet get no replies, yet a simple flag showing up besides a person's avatar, rankles so much that it invites displeasure? Are those that comment on that flag changing really that immature or do they have an ulterior motive in commenting on it? @ Mr Vine...yet you condescend to post on that thread? How charming of you. No comments from you regarding Europe then? |

@ Mr Vine...yet you condescend to post on that thread? How charming of you. No comments from you regarding Europe then? I have my daily chuckle at some of the comments in these threads. But I no longer need to join in as my sole purpose here has been accomplished. |
