What do you guys think of this? There's a lot of controversy around it...

I wonder if the people at Seti heard about that already...

shutdown the receivers we now know why we haven't found anything. Apparently, every alien species communicates without use of radiowaves.

There are a lot of people who believe that aliens are already amongst us, in some form and that they communicate through telepathy.

Here's an interesting video on the matter:

You mean they stuck around? for what? They've learned about all they could in a few days observing us.

The biggest difference in us vs other primates is we verbally toss our crap as opposed to the actual article

Dr. Latchezar Filipov appears to have legitimate scientific credentials. See, below, the linked copy of his educational background, and curriculum vitae.
The problem with claimed telepathic communications with extraterrestrials is verifying the validity of the claims. As things stand, we can only take note of predictions and novel information that is allegedly provided by ETs and see if these later come to pass, or prove valid.
We see that the cataclysm that will supposedly occur near the end of 2012 is believed in, to some extent, by Dr. Filipov's alleged communicants, They predict volcanic activity in Mexico, presumably severe enough to at least partially justify connecting it with the catastrophe supposedly predicted by the Mayan calendrical tradition. As the date concerned is but a few weeks away, we will soon have a good opportunity to judge the merit of Dr. Filipov's information. http://www.space.bas.bg/astrophysics/BG/cvfilipov_site.html

In connection with the issue of Mexican volcanic eruptions, I found the linked article, below, from May 2012, interesting. If Popocatepetl should happen to catastrophically erupt on or about the appointed date, we might be well advised to listen to Dr. Filipov more carefully. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/47283440/ns/technology_and_science-science-t/surprising-threat-mexicos-awakened-volcano#UJ6bvhweQc8/

One thing I wonder though, what if Seti wouldn't work because of those magnetic fields??

The article speaks of SETI but which? There is not a monolithic SETI but there are several institutions and groups doing SETI research. One is our SETI@home, another still is the SETI Institute but there are others doing optical SETI research. It seems to me that they ignore these simple facts.

I think it's about SETI in general, that they have to take into account certain laws of phyzix, like multiple dimensions. And also maybe the magnetic fields Filipov was talking about. According to Stephen Hawking, there are 11 dimensions in space. We might have to take that into account, looking for extraterrestrial life with optical resources and with radiosignals.

It's good to be skeptical but some things really remain unexplainable, like these big drawings in Peru. Nobody knows how they came there.

All the bumpf online & in books regarding aliens & ufo's, I've always taken with a pinch of salt.

However, for the Nazca Lines, I've never seen a satisfactory answer to them.

All I can think of is..... possibly runway markers?

That was also what I've initially been thinking of, an ancient airfield, an alien one, that is...

Interesting link, Chris. Thanx:)
I also think they were here in the time of the Egyptians as there's proof their structures contain alien technology. Found an interesting article on the matter:

Julie; That's interesting, the way the article you linked ends-- Which is a better, because simpler, explanation, in line with Occam's Razor: That the gods of the Egyptians were actual supernatural beings, or that they were extraterrestrials? Given only these two choices I'd say the latter was much likelier.
One couldn't blame the ancients Egyptians if they interpreted extraterrestrials as supernatural gods. Their conception of the universe doesn't appear to have had room in it for other inhabited planets around other stars.

I wonder if the people at Seti heard about that already...

"I feel that ... some kind of information is being taught, that they'd like to be in contact with
us," Filipov said Friday in halting English from his office in Sofia.

Why don't they just pick-up the phone and ring us and say, "Hey, can we talk"??

Have they ever found any traces here of foundations to buildings. You would
expect to find these here if this was a landing site, extensive as is seems,
for alien spacecraft. Especially so if this place formed a base for their
operations here on Earth.
