That is not an invalid host. Fastest computer currently, and it had issues with heat, so that's why so many errors and invalids now.

Actually there are 2 issues.

1) heat related

2) it's a testbed for testing new apps. If you look you will see he's running cuda 6.5 There were/are still some issues with those apps so that's why there were so many invalids to begin with.

I would just ignore any issues with this computer for now. They are aware of the problems

I'll fix the heat problem when I get home next Sunday.

The other issue is with seventh or eigth decimal. Summing sequentially, summing sequentially on groups or summing recursively pairwise produce slightly different results due to using float data type.

You should fix heat problem, now it's feeling summer again in Finland :)

Yeah, Intel Hyperthreading, 4 physical cores running 8 threads (etc). Someone will have to chime in for correct options by Boinc client version (as I use an old client), but setting % of processors to use out of the 8 threads should enable you to free one or two.

For the Cuda application process priority, there is a file called ***mbcude.cfg (it is named slightly differently depending on the stock application you process with), which can be edited with notepad or similar plantext editor. There is an example line to uncomment for processpriority, and a suitable setting could be 'normal'

Yes, I was in on Joe's email correspondance with Project staff, which indicated the results were missing a chunk of information, though oddly the result file had its proper closing tags. That amounts to a rare and interesting mystery, as opposed to the known application faults and Boinc mechanism quirks, because it is something that should have happened before if it was application related.

Should freeing a (virtual) core or two to feed the GPU, raising the process priority a little to make sure there are not weird delays going on, and/or switching to special builds all fail to change the symptoms in any way, then we have a genuine headscratcher :)

I reduced the load off of CPU's and haven't seen 'invalid' since last Tuesday :)
However, now I see 'Error' instead. Last Tuesday, actually there were more than 100 errors on one of my PC's. I wasn't worried that much because my PC didn't spend any time on them and returned errors but now I start to see errors after spending some GPU and CPU time.
I wonder if there was any change in the program which caused this...

I'm going to report my own machine 7168555

Yes I know the APs that are being sent to it are erroring out. I've changed the settings so it shouldn't get any more.

On the plus side, that means some of you will be getting the resends on those APs as they ERROR out immediately.

It's a driver issue. I need to get to that computer and install Raistmer's fix But that won't happen for 2 weeks as it's not in an easy location for me to get to.

Hi what have I to do to stop these invalid, inconclusive and error's

I've read that going back to the original GPU drives works so I will try this

Well I've gone back to the original drivers for the GPU, and I down loaded the DPC Latency checker and that's showing no problems, so I'll just have to monitor the results

This is not very helpful Zombu.

I fear it has to do with the drivers.
Try to downgrade to 14.12.

Well it looks like things are working out, reverting back to the original drivers on the CD seemed to have worked. Hopefully
