Did you call the school meals by a name? I remember hot crumble and runny strawberry jam ... we called it sawdust and tapping oil! Heard another on the radio this morning - The school canteen did a sausage stew, where all the sausages were cut up nicely, the casserole made and placed in the oven to slow cook. The skins fall off, but that was OK. Then the children started to call it "condom stew!" It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |
