Many of the "country" wines are best left for a year or so. This particularly applies to the reds, where the freshly brewed wine is very bitter and leaves horrendous after taste, but after a few months it develops a whole new character, smooth, pleasant after-taste, and depending how it was brewed it can have a kick like a mule. I make that rhubarb wine and it takes a whole year to set. Like a said before it's good but very dry. Best of all it but my sister out for a while. :) |

Here is one, years ago in upstate NY we had a beer called Genesee Cream ale. I bought 6- 12 packs out here in CA. Oh man I was in hog heaven. Can't get them to send me another (not a dealer) and the store won't get anymore. The lady told me she had a women call from Alaska and she would even buy a truck load? Nope! Well Alaska is a tough state anyway. As a local to that particular brewery I have two statements. 1. Eck, how you and others can drink Cream Ale is beyond me. ;-) 2. As far as I've heard, Genesee sells more of that stuff in other states than they do here, so someone somewhere has some more for you. #resist |

A citizen of the Beaujolais region once described "Nouveau" as being nearly as undrinkable as something the cat micurated... Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

I do like the Beaujolais Nouveau though. Every year they sell it, freshly brewed. Has a bit of a light taste and one year is better than the other but it's a decent wine for sure. Never heard of it up to now. |

Is it safe to post in here? When I was in Germany and UK I tried so many kinds of beer it wasn't funny. A lot of them were pretty darn good too. One was the October fest beer, that one had a lot of horse power behind it. I never seen so much beer flow in my life at one place. I had three years to try them all out. :)) |

I prefer Ale to Lagers. I got into IPA more in the last few years, I like it but what some of these guys are coming with home brews makes you think. I like beer of all kinds but I will explore for more. Though I have made wine and tasted straight moon shine but beer has always fascinated me. |

Stouts are good too. I am a big fan of Guinness. A good IPA or Guinness are pretty much all it takes to keep me happy. #resist |
