1) the US has freedom of speech. regardless of how tasteless it is. Generally speaking,(honey boo boo aside and toddlers in tiaras) things in poor taste are generally discarded by this society very quickly. That is the glory of free speech. YOu can say but if nobody cares or listens nobody is hurt.

2) get your facts be for you acts(needed the "s" to rhyme). As we've seen many times in recent years the mideast and arab states seem to be spoiling for a good riot. screw logic or reason lets tear crap up.

3) I know for a fact there are good and honest people everywhere that are appalled not just by the video but the unnecessary and gratuitous violence that occurred. These people need to be heard and they need to step forward and demand peace.

I saw the 13 minute trailer? on UToob before They Yanked It off for Violating TOS. It was comparable to all the GOD/Jesus vids doing the same thing. Funny and sickeningly stupid. I chuckled and grimaced. Grimaced like I would watching a Bad Atempt by Saturday Night Live when they fail.

I'm sure all The Christian Vids mocking Jesus/GOD are all still there to view.

So there is a 3 or 4 fold problem here

1) how did this fake guy get the money to make a fake movie and why?

2) Since this movie was not widely known, how did news of it spread so fast in volatile spots in muslim majority countries.

3)When news spread why didn't the sources point out that it was a horribly made film and not known by many outside the few who had made it or screened it.

4) why such an over reaction? For starters if anyone offended a prophet let God and the Prophet deal with them later. Offenses to God should be dealt with by God. Not anyone on earth attempting to mete out His Will. But God Himself.

Are the actors at fault as well? Can they be held accountable for this farce?
According to the linked page, No. They were duped.

Perhaps because the local TV stations have reporters camped out on the idiots house ... in any case the idiot is free to say what he said in the USA. He likely even got the written permission of the actors to overdub his hate filled message. It is the fact that the USA allows this hate speech that drives the Muslim world mad. The USA doesn't have Sharia where this idiot would have already been beheaded.

What gets me mad is that Google hasn't found a way to get this clip off its sites. Now as this idiot has said he didn't dub it into Arabic, whoever did violated copyright. Seems to me to be enough reason for Google to ban the clip until the copyright is sorted out in court.

Now I hope the Feds have the spine to lock this idiot up for a parole violation for his posting the clip to the internet in violation of his parole.
