This is about the supposed movie produced by some unknown persons. Is this movie really worthy of protest? Has anyone really seen it? Are the reactions to this movie far overblown?

To be honest the first I heard of it was from the protests overseas. It seems to me that someone or some group is intentionally attempting to bring unrest in the middle east. It clearly isnt the movie since only a few people have seen the whole movie.

So how did a cutrate poorly acted and poorly done movie create such a firestorm? And why? Again it seems to me that someone or some group is spreading a lie. that that movie was in wide spread distribution and everyone was watching it in the US.

How about our Muslim friends in the US calling their family and friends and letting them know that this movie only gained air time since they began protesting. We didn't even know it existed.

That being said, I've read comments on NBC.com in a news article that state that the movie is "only representing what we already know about the prophet."

I tend to agree with Salmon Rushdie. The protests that killed a 3rd party are in no way a valid means of expressing oneself. How is killing someone that is an Ambassador to your country justified.

Again I have to wonder if these protests start out peaceful and certain groups infiltrate the protest and start making violent overtures and inciting violence. I'm, of course, Speaking of Terrorists. Perhaps this is the reason that things have gotten so violent over a cheesy crap movie that nobody is ever going to see.

From what I heard on the morning news it was an Eygptian who is a Christian who made it.
Id like to know why we are getting blamed for it. Sounds like a setup to me. They cant get to us directly so the do an endrun to stir the pot. Perhaps because the local TV stations have reporters camped out on the idiots house ... in any case the idiot is free to say what he said in the USA. He likely even got the written permission of the actors to overdub his hate filled message. It is the fact that the USA allows this hate speech that drives the Muslim world mad. The USA doesn't have Sharia where this idiot would have already been beheaded.

What gets me mad is that Google hasn't found a way to get this clip off its sites. Now as this idiot has said he didn't dub it into Arabic, whoever did violated copyright. Seems to me to be enough reason for Google to ban the clip until the copyright is sorted out in court.

Now I hope the Feds have the spine to lock this idiot up for a parole violation for his posting the clip to the internet in violation of his parole. I saw the 13 minute trailer? on UToob before They Yanked It off for Violating TOS. It was comparable to all the GOD/Jesus vids doing the same thing. Funny and sickeningly stupid. I chuckled and grimaced. Grimaced like I would watching a Bad Atempt by Saturday Night Live when they fail.

I'm sure all The Christian Vids mocking Jesus/GOD are all still there to view.

So there is a 3 or 4 fold problem here

1) how did this fake guy get the money to make a fake movie and why?

2) Since this movie was not widely known, how did news of it spread so fast in volatile spots in muslim majority countries.

3)When news spread why didn't the sources point out that it was a horribly made film and not known by many outside the few who had made it or screened it.

4) why such an over reaction? For starters if anyone offended a prophet let God and the Prophet deal with them later. Offenses to God should be dealt with by God. Not anyone on earth attempting to mete out His Will. But God Himself.

Are the actors at fault as well? Can they be held accountable for this farce?
According to the linked page, No. They were duped.

One has to wonder if a Muslim were given the chance to read the account of how that movie was made. Would they indeed be upset at anyone but the fake director

It spread so fast because it was e-mailed to a hate monger, er ... fundamentalist television station with a satellite feed and they spread the propaganda. IIRC they said parts of the clip were played several times per hour with the statement that the USA made the film.

This is how you whip up a population to do your bidding. Just like Rusty Lintball or Rubert Murdoch whips up his followers. Repeat a lie over and over until it becomes the truth and drowns out reason.
