Have you seen Event Horizon? Bad things happen when you mess with physics :)

Um, no, I'm talking about physics(nature), that movie is speculation, that's why it's a horror movie.

It is, but it does raise the point of warping space so two distant points are one and the same, and who knows what the consequences could be, (aside from a horror plot for a movie).

Then We need a guinea pig for testing, with an automatic return function.

Problem is, We don't know everything about that lump of rock, not yet at least.

So far, every time there is a problem with string theory, they add a few new dimensions. Reminds me of the celestial spheres of days gone by. There has to be a better explanation, but we have not found it yet.

Well there is always M-Theory of course.

Sure we have. Everything around us is an illusion. We exist in a dream of somebody with very colorful dreams.

Or two dimensionally, on the surface of a three dimensional object.

I've always thought that. String theory really isn't necessary anyway.

Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.

Not when it's already mentioned in both M-theory and General Relativity...

No, not really.

M-Theory is one of many string theories. String theories are attempts to reconcile the contradictions between General Relativity and Quantum Theory. Neither string theory in general nor M-Theory in particular are mentioned (or even imagined to exist) in Einstein's (1916) General Relativity.

Ever heard of an Einstein-Rosen Bridge? Or the folding of space?

So the best way for me to fold space around me is go total crazy munchin mince pies and plum pudings by the truckload to build up enough mass so that i can worm my way back in time to when i was a younger slim thing.
is`nt causality a wonderfull thing.
cos then i catch up with where i started to expand to the size of a red giant i can do it all over again,
YIPPEEE, what and excuse for a pig out at christmass :¬))
Are you shure it works that way ??

string theory, err, that wot i use if my shoe laces break

Einstein-Rosen Bridge - I hope they dont have a weight limit on it, otherwise they wont let a red giant sized taxi driver pass over it.

Hiya Vic

Indeed, I am somewhat familiar with both. Not sure what your point is, tho.
