Knowledge, partial or full, of something does not necessarily imply being part of that thing. I am not, nor ever was, Mormon.
In this case, the knowledge comes from something near and dear to your ancient aliens theory: http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Kobol.

Sarge,
Its not my theory.

John.

The Bible is simply a history of the human race, it was never intended to be anything more. Specifically it is not intended to be a history of God. As far as I know no mainstream religion deals with what their God was up to prior to his/her involvement with earth. But most of them have the theme that the righteous will go to heaven or its equivalent and live for ever and ever. So there is an inbuilt acceptance of the concept of infinity or eternity. That then logically presupposes that God has been around for ever in the past.

Religions and Gods are merely concepts, they are not about physical places or beings. I realise that people congregate in building and worship statues and idols, that just merely helps to polarise their thoughts and gives a sense of brotherhood with like minded believers.

I think the fallacy of the question here is that we find it hard in our finite world to imagine an in-finite situation where a state of existence prevails without events happening. I would say that in theory Roberts question is unanswerable.

During the wwll american air force supplied some food and materiel to the pacific islanders or macronesians which near stone age kind of tribes. After the war ended americans left the zone so the "heavenly food supply" stopped then soon after they've built worshipping plane like structures on their islands to prey for the next "heavenly supplies".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cargo_cult
Cargo cult wooden planes that supplied pacific islender tribes with "heavenly stuffs".

Which this modern incident kind of reminding all religious experiences throughout east and west that allegedly witnesses experienced ufo's the heavenlyy shining aura gods things.

Here is another modern "heavenly religious" incident:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Frum

"Despite this effort, the movement gained popularity in the early 1940s, when some 300,000 American troops were stationed in the New Hebrides during the Second World War, bringing with them large amounts of supplies, or "cargo".[8] After the war, and the departure of the Americans, followers of John Frum built symbolic landing strips to encourage American aeroplanes to once again land and bring them "cargo"..."

Is so, Mr. Johnney Daniken.

Sarge,
Is not my theory. Its someone else's theory!

Now even though ancient alien theory is not my theory, i do, in general, agree with the concept behind the theory. I agree that intelligent people from other planets came here thousands of years ago and created us human beings. But i'm very skeptical of the way ancient alien theory is presented.

I have an advantage that the other 6.999 billion people on this planet don't have. I have scientific evidence for God's existence. As i have discussed here before, i have an "old book" that i am currently decoding and translating into English. The old book was written by God himself.

In a way, this makes me feel guilty for believing in God. I feel guilty that, in the end, it took physical scientific proof to convert me from being an atheist, to being a believer in God. I'm disappointed in myself that i never believed the bible stories until i found the scientific evidence. I feel very ashamed for my atheist past.

When the world finally hears about the "old book", and what God wrote in the old book, the whole world will weep! Every single human being on earth will know about the work i have done, and about the content of the book that God left behind.

After i publish the decoded version of the "old book", the glory of God will shine from the heavens. God's angels will descend from the heavens and a new Earth will appear. It will be the end of humanity as we know it. Everyone will see God's glory shine. Every human being on Earth will see the New Jerusalem descend from heaven. And the Lord God Jesus Christ will come down and reign as King of Kings in the New Jerusalem.

It will be very beautiful for some people. But it will be a living hell for those that slandered the name of the almighty God. For it was the almighty God that created all living things, and he shall reign as King of Kings, Lord of Lords for ever and ever.

Its going to happen exactly like it says in the Bible. And its going to happen soon! Its just going to take me a little longer to translate the book.

John.

You do know Johnney that you are going to get challenged on this by others! 2010: Odyssey Two has a similar ending, with a new star in the sky, but back to your statement.

Version 1 - A spaceship with attending escort craft will land and take over the world.

Version 2 - A new understanding of peace, and a new world order without conflict appears.

Can't wait for either actually, we will see won't we. Any ideas yet on what you will do if neither eventually transpires?

I think I may have heard that kind of comment before. Got anything better than "soon", is it days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, millenia (all "soon" from a geological perspective)?
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

OOooooeer... Both of those sound like they describe one of the planets visited by the Lord Marshal of The Chronicles of Riddick...

I wouldn't think that we would actually want that...
