Those children were the future of your country - where were you to protect them?

I protect MY OWN. Im not a burden to the state. As it should be.

How very Christian of you.

I must have missed that part in the bible where Jesus said "screw your neighbours and watch out for number one." what gospel was it in?

[quote]Your views had one of those slain children been yours?

They did not need to be mine for me to cry big crocodile tears. I dropped to my knees and prayed to God for all the children and the teachers. AS WELL AS FOR THE SHOOTER, because someone let that young man down.

ID, empty prayers with no thoughts on how to reduce the incidence or severity of these horrific events. Very constructive.

I don't think it's about more gun control. I grew up in the south with gun's everywhere and we never shot anyone. This (shooting) is about people who aren't taught the value of life.
~Samuel L. Jackson

I CAN'T WAIT FOR ANOTHER HOLLYWOOD ACTOR TO LECTURE ME ON THE REASONS WHEN ...

(Note: supposed similar Morgan Freeman statement debunked.)

Samuel L. Jackson is as much a spokesman on this as Ted Danson was on race relations.

Or Danson on the environment, lol.

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2007/11/13/danson_i_lied_oceans_didn_t_die2

RUSH ARCHIVE: They're always making me justify my existence. I wish they'd do that to Hollywood celebrities who claim to be oceanographers and so forth. "Mr. Danson, Mr. Danson, what do you mean we've only got ten years left on earth unless we do -- what's -- what's -- what's your source?" They never do. They just -- whatever Ted Danson or Whoopi Goldberg, any of these other Hollywood celebs say, they just accept it as gospel. When I say it, "Prove it! Where did you get that information? You have no right to say that. You're just a racist, bigot, sexist, homophobe pig."

RUSH: That's how the media reacts to me, "You can't say that, prove it!" Ted Danson makes these claims, "Oh, oh, he cares so much." Well, last Friday on CNBC's High Net Worth, the reporterette Jane Wells interviewed Ted Danson, and she said, "There was a time when you said the oceans are going to be dead in ten years. They're not dead?"

DANSON: No. They're not. But, I'm sure there was some hyperbole in what I said to draw attention to the issue, but you go to science journals now, 70% of the world's fisheries are at a point of collapse.

RUSH: Really? Oh, you lied, it was just hyperbole. So now after being proven to have lied, but, but, but 70% of the ocean's fisheries or the world's fisheries or whatever are at a point of collapse, 70%. So he's been proven wrong, throws another figure out there, wow, we're in trouble, oh, no, 70% of the world's fisheries are closed. So Jane Wells then said -- well, the answer she reported after -- "Danson says some people have wondered, why listen to an actor? They make fun of celebrities taking up causes. He gets that."

DANSON: Celebrities can be silly, we can take swipes at them, and what the heck, why not, we are silly. But we do raise money. You know something, this community raises more money for charity than any other community in the world. This community is so generous.

WELLS: He says over the years he's probably given $3 million of his own money to the Oceans Campaign, and just last week he flew to Geneva to urge the World Trade Organization to lift subsidies which may result in overfishing.

DANSON: I do want to be engaged in the process. I do not want to be victimized, or embarrassed, or guilty that I haven't done something during this really critical time.

RUSH: So, once again, after being proved wrong about the death of the oceans, he remains an expert, he remains a go-to guy. Why? Because he donates so much to charity to the oceans. He threw $3 million down the drain if he donated it to an ocean charity. The idea we can control the oceans is about as absurd as being able to control the climate! Anyway, I just think that just illustrates the point. Celebs are silly, he admits all this, and yet we know that you people are going to take us seriously because we're like the big clique in high school, and you all wish you were in our group.

Let's also consider some other things Samuel L. Jackson recently said. Warning! Extreme Language (Profanity).

Message 1317439 - Posted: 20 Dec 2012, 1:55:41 UTC - in response to Message 1317434.

Some may think the idea of personal self defense against a killer government is an extreme idea.

Any individual who works to render its citizens defensless is personally to blame.

The founders fully expected its citizens to rise up against the government if it ever got out of control.

Any American who has an interest in the future of a free nation, of a safe nation, prosperous nation, should have an interest in how to preserve it -- and the key is to never give anyone more power than the people.

The individual ultimately has the duty and the right to self defense, not the government.

The pain of suffering the plight of an evil dictatorship, the genocide, the mass murder is quickly forgotten because it is so painful. It's human nature to forget painful memories--the more painful, the more quickly it's forgotten. It's human nature to remember the good.

Failing to understand how dictators come to power is not only your problem, you make it my problem also.

One more thing.

If you want to speak to criminals, you have to talk to criminals in a language they understand.

So let me get this straight. ID wants his guns so he can machine gun deer.
You want yours because you think it will protect you against your government.

Would that be the same government that is the number one military power in the world? Good luck with that. I'm sure that will be great against all those drones, AC130 gun ships, AH6 Apache Helicopters, tow missiles, F-22 fighter jets...

You should just stick to machine gunning deer. Its more realistic.

You have NO understanding of weapons. A semi-auto weapon is NOT a Machine gun! If you have no understanding ask. If you don't ask be quite.

I have already told you this and yet you still MAKE the mistake!

http://www.dhs.gov/blog/2012/09/14/welcome-fema-corps-inaugural-class

THIS is something we need to keep a close eye on. Sure, they're starting off with some pretty harmless goals and it actually sounds like a pretty good deal for many 18-24 year olds. There's actually some goals listed that sound pretty good for all concerned.

"FEMA Corps sets the foundation for a new generation of emergency managers; it promotes civic engagement and offers an educational and financial opportunity for young people; and is designed to strengthen the nation’s disaster response by supplementing FEMA’s existing Reservist workforce."

Hitler's Nazi Youth started out harmlessly by teaching useful skills such as map reading and working with commuincations gear through hiking trips and other youth activities which supported the party. Soon it was made more militaristic. Members marched in military formations. At first there was no weapons training, but eventually weapons training was added to the program.

What do you think might happen when FEMA responds to an emergency situation full of rednecks who disagree so much with the president, that they begin shooting at this community organization sent in to help restore order?

I'm sorry. Is this an argument for or against gun control?

Message 1317460 - Posted: 20 Dec 2012, 4:16:40 UTC

The last time I took it was 13 years ago when I joined the Constitution Party of Illinois. I placed my hand on the Bible and repeated it and so help me God I will uphold it till my death.

I truly own nothing but my word. I came into this world naked and screaming and I'll go out about the same way. The whole time I have been here, in the end, my word is all I own and I'll never break it. THAT is the mark of a man, and if NOTHING else I am a man. My hand shake is better then a contract, if you get it you have MY WORD I will do as I have said I would.

Every President since the date of 1913 has taken his oath with his hand on the Bible and then broke his word and committed Treason to GOD and Country. NOT ONE of them has kept his word to the people, save, perhaps, Calvin Coolidge. Just about every man jack elected to the House and Senate has done the same since the very date of 1913, but a handful. All have committed treason, save the very few. At some point in the very near future this house of cards will come down by their own hands. Trials will be held, and they will go to jail or their death because of it.

But this Country will NEVER fall to another Country. It's citizens are armed and many like myself are ready, willing, and will die to protect it. Even for the ones who have NO CLUE as to the how, where, or why. Why are we willing to die---because we are Christian, we made an oath to God.

It's just that simple.

My faith or lack of it is no secret here. :D Your question was, however, irrelevant. So I chose not to answer it.

Just because you call yourself a Christian, doesn't mean you are one.
