It's a shame that many of Germany's Catholics now live in Texas after being forced out of the country in the 1800's

True, then again, it is NOT a shame that many German Jews left Germany after 1848.

Ok, we know what the problem is, now what is going to be done about it. All the while that they cam claim various levels of protection from the ECHR it will be difficult to get rid of them. That means the UK withdrawing from it, which at the moment is not on the horizon. But it is good that it is getting more public prominence.

Problem

Pot calling the kettle black, I had already posted about the trillions hidden away by the rich, in the Romney thread.

Don't know what the tax evasion/avoidance has to do with failed immigrants, maybe you need to stay on par as well.

You critised Chris because he posted a story you had already posted. But you were guity of the same offence, look at when I posted about the Trillions being hidden by the rich.

You reported via the guardian at 2.22am, I reported an Updated report from Chris' favourite news site... & based on his comments previously with regards to MY linkings, it's the preferred one.

Secondly, it seems that you've jumped on the same bandwagon on commenting on the poster's comments rather than answer the question's posed.

The question raised for both of you was & still is: - What has tax avoidance/evasion got to do with failed immigrants & addendum: - what has that got to do with the EU when the question raised is only relevant to the UK!

Back on topic: -

spanish woes continue

"They borrow the asset from another investor and then sell it in the relevant market. The aim is to buy back the asset at a lower price and return it to its owner, making a profit along the way".

Clear cut case of profiteering & even though it has been a long standing one, it's about time it was totally banned!

Ooops, Dead-ended, back to the start

"When it is fully launched it is hoped it will have access to 500bn euros. A Spanish bailout would need around 350bn. An Italian bailout might need more than 700bn euros. Most officials doubt there are the resources to save Italy and Spain together".

"And in the end fear will probably persuade Chancellor Angela Merkel to stick with Greece - but Italy and Spain may raise a much more difficult dilemma".

Looking more & more like "It is the end of the Euro" but the fools won't face reality!

Well, it's on the cards that France will need some form of assistance in time.
The ECM boat is leaking badly through it's supposedly water-tight scuttles.
The boats needs raising up in the water a bit and the only way to effect this
is for the PIGS to jump ship....else the boats going to sink taking all ECU
members down with it.

Will they or Won't they?

"But the troika's patience is wearing thin, our correspondent says, as Greece is lagging behind schedule in reducing its deficit". But the Troika don't want to see things worsen & in their eyes, it will if countries start leaving the Euro, so they'll moan a lot but will give Greece the money. So how long before the kitty empties?

White Elephants that saw red

"Public servants are not used to being monitored, their accountability isn't common in Spain. It's terrible because you have many opaque layers of government and each of those control public money." This is true of all Eurozone countries. But the biggest Con Job of all is the European Social Fund.

Everything still in total flux....so anything can still happen and most probably
will happen....but not necessarily to the benefit of the EURO.

Just wondering how much would the deficit be if this wasn't being paid out?

Annual UK bill to the EU is now £19.2 billion (that's £53 million a day!)

I've been mocked, castigated, personally attacked, & even had a request for "professional" bankers & economists to pop into this thread to give their take on the situation.

Yet throughout all that, the ones doing it have constantly failed to answer direct questions.....so.....

Debt crisis threatens to break up Europe Ohhh, yes please!

This coming from a Prime Minister of a sovereign country - will he be castigated, mocked or attacked or will he be portrayed as a political "Walter Mitty"?
