Does anybody know what happened to Magenta? We don't see her here anymore... It has been awhile since she dropped by... Hope she isn't working too hard at that fabric shop .... Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

Her and Monday are busy taking care of the ferrests. I am sure she will pop in once she has a new design. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

Hello friends...Monday reminded me to check in a little more often :-) Have been super busy with school, and yes - the ferrets. Trying to rehabilitate a frightened ferret takes a lot of work! I appreciate your thoughts, and must remember to be more vocal :-) je suis qui je suis |

Good to see you around, Magenta.. We guessed you were busy with term, designing new colours/textiles and ferreting. It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |

How does one frighten a ferret? Hi Rob...the last owner was a woman - mousy is two, and minky is one. When minky was a baby she met this dude...he didn't like ferrets, tried to get her to get rid of them, wouldn't touch them, and never let them out of their cage. We think he yelled at them too, because minky doesn't like sudden loud noises. Because mousy was already a little older, she coped better...but minky was a baby - very impressionable - and needed to be taught appropriate behavior, just like any other pet. Then the woman got pregnant - and he made her get rid of the ferrets. Minky had more difficulty with men, but now he doesn't discriminate - he is naughty for both of us!!! BTW - Nice to talk to you all...I am starting my race wear garments (beautiful silk 1920s inspired) - will show you pics soon :-) je suis qui je suis |

Poor Minky, it certainly sounds as if he had a tough start but has now found the owners he deserves Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

How does one frighten a ferret? Sounds like the gal should have lost the boyfriend rather than the ferrets. Hope he isn't an abuser. Gonna take lots of time and patience to get Minky socialized, but it sounds like you are well on the way ... Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

We have had them three weeks today - and he is heaps better...tonight he didn't have "time-out" once - not a single bite. It is tricky for them, because they use their mouths (i.e. nip) to say hello, play, mousy even gives little love nips on the chin. He is way better than when we got him, and mousy is just adorable :-) je suis qui je suis |

Yes, it takes time for them to trust again. Trinidad, the grandmother of the brood of doggies that still live here, needed a year, before she would let us even pet her. She was young when we recused her, so she must have had some horrid experience. Once we regained her trust, she was the most loving dog and a great mouser. I send her over to the rainbow bridge, when there were 8 pups running around and she looked at me one day and said, I am tired and ready. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Just back from running Bingo, and I have this incredible craving for grilled SPAM. Maybe in an omelet with grilled onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, tomatoes, and 3 or 4 kinds of cheese. Is there a cook on duty, or must I fix it myself? Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |
