Hello
I am new to this and I am very excited about it. I have a question though..My internet connection is limited to 3 gigs a month download size. Is there going to be an issue about going over my download size? What is the DL size average per month...I

There are many variables involved....


Each SETI@Home MultiBeam Enhanced workunit is about 360KB (0.36MB) to download, and about 15-20KB upload for the result.

Each SETI@Home AstroPulse workunit is about 8MB to download, and also about 15-20KB to upload for the result.


That being said, it really depends on how fast your computer is able to complete workunits and how often you let BOINC crunch.

Using the above figures, you can fill in the variables and approximate an appropriate data useage plan.

Also note that the AP tasks take about 10 times as long to crunch as the MB tasks.
