No doubt the bulk of the improvement was due to the Landlord...

Thanks Julie

I think the pneumonia is nearly conquered, and back to my norm.

But, today's visit to the Osteo consultant strongly suggests I will be wearing arm braces for life to prevent bones breaking at the points the cancer nodules live. Still, I am getting around OK at the moment, so that should not be too big a hang up/irritant.

Well if you wore them when I last saw you, It wasn't obvious. An inconvenience to be sure, but certainly liveable with. A minor price to pay I think all in all.

You're right Chris, it could've been worse.

Every time I read your posts I have an image in my mind from a movie called “Shadowlands”. It was a movie about a love affair between C.S. Lewis and an American poet, Joy Gresham. There is a part in the movie where the Lady poet goes to answer a telephone and after putting weight on a leg that had a malignant tumor on the thigh bone, there was a loud snap, and then she was on the floor in great pain. That image in my mind always hurts me when it appears.
Hang in there Pal.

I only mentioned the arm braces, as such, to being an annoyance and nothing more.

Felt a bit rough yesterday, but today is the opposite.

We have been out to visit Sheila's sister and then get 2 x 80 litre bags of tree bark/wood chips for the recently cleared front flower border. That should prevent a mass of weeds regrowing, and a bit of light hoeing should keep things looking good.

The weight of the bags fell to the garden center peoples help. We then positioned the car, and dragged the bags from the boot. Little or no load on my arms.

Did they give a wheel barrow to carry them out?
I once saw a guy using a well used one to carry his load out to the waiting taxi!

Been to see the Oncology consultant today, and he has discharged me unless I get pain in the muscles/bone not related to movement.

The tumours have not been shrunk by the chemo and radiation, but their growth has stopped.

Privately the consultant commented that the brace on the right arm is more of a placebo in hope the arm will not break at the weak cancer nodule point as it keeps slipping. I thought how hilarious, but will keep wearing the same, and wear short sleeved T-shirts for comfort.
