The after effects are still around, and the sun was hot enough to get one to snooze In the garden the temperature inside the 6' fences must have hit 25+C It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |

Sounds great John. There's nothing quite like kicking back on a warm sunny day and soaking up some rays. |

Despite insomnia I got some good sleep hours in by 10.00 am today. I have sorter out a couple of domestic items, without tiredness, and feel good ATM. Now I need to speak with the VAT man on incomplete VAT Returns then de-reregistration. This is a burden when I least need it. It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |

Well, I now know the type of myeloma I have - kappa light chain multiple myeloma, or Bence Jones myeloma. This, it seems, occurs in about 20% of this problem. The good thing is the light chain base line, before any chemo, has a measured figure of 6,959 (what ever that actually means). After this first month treatment, the kappa light chain factor has been dramatically reduced to 89 ... some reaction and the start of winning. Now we just keep it down and squash it out of existence over time. It also appears one of the reasons for my recent tiredness may be that I am anemic! Going in for a 3 unit/pint blood transfusion Monday. I would much prefer the transfusion to be a blended version of Landlord beer. Now onwards and upwards. Not TT Landlord on the NHS, the best you can hope for is some disgusting bulk brewed produce of a chemical factory.... Hope all goes well on Monday, it certainly sounds as though things are moving in the right direction. Well that sounds good, beating back the infernal myeloma, as to being anemic, if this were Halloween You could go dressed up in a cape, just for the humor, in any case I hope Ya feel better soon John, especially after you've had a bite, er a fresh pint added. ;) <ducks> The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I was white as a sheet last May. I brought my iron level up with lots of vegetables and supplement. The Dr deemed, I didn't need a transfusion. So yours must be bad. Rooting a speedy recovery. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

Thanks for your concern Vic. Thank goodness, I love spinach, lentils and brussel spouts. Yes yuck to most of you, but they brought me up to speed. The supplements were just for a booster. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

Hey John, glad to hear things are moving in the right direction! Anemia is something I know well. A few years ago I was diagnosed with severe anemia. I was prescribed IV iron infusions - many across many months, along with yucky oral iron. Worked like a charm and I'm good as new these days. Wishing you a full recovery as well! |

I used to have brussel spouts when My Brother cooked them, He used garlic salt on them to cut the taste, It's been 9 Years since He cooked them and I really don't although I could and they were very tasty. I like spinach too and other greens like swiss chard, problem is I don't have enough freezer capacity as My Mom introduced Me to these southern dishes. Sorry for drifting.
