Ouch.

That makes me wonder if such a practice has occurred within the summits & Euro meetings on this crisis making it drag on for so long.

Ouch.

Ouch is in employment law in California, the burden of proof is on the employer. So a he said she said is always in favor of the employee, hence why employers document everything.

But will "the markets" let them have weeks?

What happens after the weakest country has been kicked out?

The markets will turn on the new weakest, and that one in turn will be kicked out.

And so the cycle will repeat until there are only two left. Then the fight will begin.

Agreed, so it'll come back to what I said in the 1st post of stage 1....

The End is Near

The last 2 occasions were military affairs, it's gonna be an interesting "Financial War" this time around.

Which "last two" are we talking about?
Let's think:
Iraq & Afghanistan?
Or
Iraq & Iraq?
Or Libya and Iraq
Or do we go back a few years to Vietnam & Korea??

See we've been fighting and squabbling for many thousands of years, most of the time over property, or religion, or both.
It would indeed be "interesting" to see a purely financial fight, but I fear it would be even worse than the recent "low casualty" fighting.

We have the European Central Bank, European Leaders (who are holding summit meetings in the hope that someone more powerful than them, forces them into a decision, so when the Euro fails, they can be blamed), so just what use are these clowns.....

With the worldwide economic downturn, just wondering how nations can justify $325 million for a 2 day summit!

Australia debating where to hold the 2014 G20 summit

Is the Los Cabos summit costing the same? Haven't these idiots heard of "Video Conferencing"?

To be honest - I can defend them - However only in the good times as after all, they are human like the rest of us & "exotic" locations could be seen as an opportunity to not only work for the country but also to recharge their batteries.

However, as they're asking us to bear the "austerity" that is cominy our way, they should have chosen a central location which already has security built in, thereby cutting down the costs of the summits.

Kettle black anyone?

If they did that, I bet someone would be looking into "Tax Relief"... :)

Wow, what a vindication!

Germany weighs up federal plan to end euro crisis

"Joschka Fischer, the former German foreign minister, warned that his country was at risk of destroying itself and Europe for the third time in a century, and gave Merkel just a few months to change course and save the currency. In an article published yesterday, he wrote: "Germany destroyed itself – and the European order – twice in the 20th century. It would be both tragic and ironic if a restored Germany, by peaceful means and with the best of intentions, brought about the ruin of the European order a third time."

You mean someone else? Look at the Republican talking heads in the US regarding the desperate need for the very wealthy and big corporations to get both tax and regulatory relief. We NEED more AIG's....

You've never had it so good

& the original......

Never had it so good

However, they both have one thing in common....

Both blooming tories!
