Y'know, as vituperative as the rhetoric has gotten over whether the Prez is or isn't a socialist, I seem to remember the more-or-less exact same predictions made when "Slick Willy" took the presidency in 1992. His tax hikes would ruin the economy, there would be a recession the likes we would never see. We should take a slightly bigger view of what is going on here! Obama isn't a king, his proclamations don't become law. He was stymied even when he had a "lock" on the Senate, because of moderate to Blue Dog democrats. This millenialism detracts from real planning. If there is to be no future, we can quit looking for ETI right now!!

Guy -- great post, aside from being over the top and inaccurate, quite excellent indeed. To tell you the truth, this one I for one won't grace with a point by point refutation. Simply put, by posting it, you've indicated a great degree of 'IDishness' in your thought process and it has been made quite evident what a time waste trying to reason with ID is.

Part of the problem is that, if one tries hard enough, we can find similarities between any of us and the evil we hate. Be it Hitler, Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, or even Lizzie Borden. We don't like to think of it because we want to distance ourselves from the worst figures in human history.

But what to these similarities prove? That the person we're comparing is as bad as the person we've compared them to? No, all we've successfully illustrated is that those "evil" beings were nothing more than human, as so are we. Of course there's going to be some similarities.

What's appalling is that anyone would actually use literally the most hated man in human history and compare them to anyone. Obama might not be the best at what he does, but trying to suggest, assert, imply, or even outright accuse him of being the next Hitler is just plain idiotic mud-slinging.

Only proves my point. Doesn't mean a thing, and its almost as awful as comparing Obama to Hitler (though Vlad doesn't have the world's attention as the most hated guy ever).

-Like Hitler, Obama has an obvious distaste for the Jews, and sides with the Muslims every chance he gets.

Tell that to the world famous Muslim Bin Laden. Oh wait, you can't, Obama had him killed.

As for the Bush vs Vlad thing, more of the same sort of bunk written from a different POV.
