I've not needed to download any tasks since yesterday (29th). So it's not me clogging up the pipe downloading astropulses, I swear :)

As to those having forum troubles, I have my forum preferences set to show only the last thirty posts and have had not difficulty with slow loading or timeouts (could be just good timing though). Although it only seems to work if you set the sorting to "oldest first" at the top of the page.

Still no uploads, and i notice none of the server status numbers have updated for a while either.

I like the new error message, although it doesn't really make it any easier to understand. ;-)

01/07/2012 01:08:01 | | [error] Can't create HTTP response output file projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu/12fe12ad.22970.12337.3.10.85.vlar

Anyway, the i5 is now all cool on the CPU cores, just Einstein running on the GPU. Costs less electricity.

Now after several hours of the uploads having issues, you can see on the cricket graph that it is definitely an issue. I've got two uploads stuck myself.

Only two, I just counted, I've got eight. I guess it's just hurry up and wait ;)

Well after having my internet connection going up and down for the past 7 days,
and now have just activated my new DOCSIS 3 modem everything was going just fine.
Then I noticed my SETI uploads were stalling and thought my internet was still
bad. But am glad to see it is SETI and not me.

Ping statistics for 208.68.240.16:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss).

It's been that way each time I've checked. The 19:30 UTC of the last Status page update and the 12:30 drop off on cricket are of course the same time. With everything so thoroughly tied together, there's no way for us to guess how much work it'll be to recover.

I hope that when ever PaddyM comes on line, and GeorgeM fallinto his final function, these upload/download burps should start to mellow out a bit.

Agreed. Somewhat surprisingly, my cache was full before it went down. Should be 10-12 days that I can survive.

It feels just like that doesn't it? Something I have started to learn through SETI is to be very patient and let life flow around and over these slow downs. I used to get pretty upset when my RAC would drop by 25% and all was humming along just fine. No more. I turn to Netflix and my episodes of Burn Notice, MI-5, Plain Sight, or Jeremiah, etc. and just wait it out while enjoying myself. Makes no sense to let SETI hiccups take my emotions downhill. Life has been a good teacher for me in the ways of being centered and looking at the big picture. Your way of making humor out of a hassle is great. Thank to you Grumpy old Swede...

This is a minor annoyance for me.

Having fun trying to keep two projects (SETI and WCG) at around the same RAC. At least I won't run dry unless WCG goes down at the same time.

Yep it's only really a minor irritation in the scheme of things. The Seti gang have remote boot power strips so sometimes it can be reset from home, other times it requires a lab visit. Bruno is shown as green and running so no idea what the problem is. As I write it is 2am in Berkeley on Sunday morning, so they might leave it until 8am on Monday which is 30 hours away.

people scream like it's their life slipping away from them when their RAC drops... Let's not forget this is a volunteer project and there is a real life out there besides what happens on their computer. *putting things into perspective* ;-)

Well, the good thing is that finaly all downloads on my desktop machine came thru (at speeds I've never seen before... or at least not for quite long time). It was getting short on tasks ready to start (not so much on allocated tasks, that was not the problem).

And is still showing green - at 19:30 last night....

Interesting, again the crickets are showing about 70Mbs transfer rates on the green band, but not a lot on the blue band - looks as if the upload server, and whichever server does the status page has decided to have a weekend off.

Uploads are all stuck,
My `Retry` button can`t take any more.
No chance off any downloads till all up`s are done.
Five hours left till Einstein gets it.
