But its not a crisis. SETI@Home's servers going out is a mere inconvenience. It's called priorities. I care plenty for SETI and the scientific search, but I know that there are plenty of things in life more important than SETI's servers going down. I agree with what Chris S. said, I feel sorry for those that think SETI is so important that a few hours down is a crisis situation that needs a stop the presses announcement to let people know. |

I understand your concern, but if I may change the subject; will someone please explain to me what is the benefit of getting credits for allowing SETI to use our PC's in this manner? I have 600+ credits, and I don't know what to do with them. MATT |

I have 600+ credits, and I don't know what to do with them. You can't do anything with them. They are just like points in a video game. You can use them as bragging rights or you can use them to compare your machines to other people's. |
