The Kite Fliers

belong to a formal team so "fly their own kites" - as the saying goes.

With each crime and every kindness we birth our future.

Woke up to find my neighbor's dog on my back porch, scarfing down the cat food.
Two more fenceboards turned into kindling.
Got her back home, fixed the fence, refilled the feeder, then had my own breakfast.
Kitties are just now coming down from the citrus trees.

But if that is the worst thing that happens today, I'm Winning!

Hopefully the Dog won't be back again.

It's been two weeks since the last episode. Some of the fence boards are still original (1961), and this dog just does not get enough attention, even with two miniature poodles to chase around her yard. So she head-butts the fence until she finds a board weak enough to break through, then goes exploring. And not just my yard - his other three neighbors have been visited as well.

Working with the neighbor to get all the old boards replaced with new, but at $9 a board (3/4"x12"x6' redwood), replacing 40 feet of fence isn't cheap.

Yep, sounds like it alright.
