If you watch those Penn and Teller Bullshit episodes I linked to, it'll explain those questions you asked. Ex', it's true what you say here but it does not prove that what was filmed was of alien origin. There's yet to be any hard evidence provided in support of the existence of aliens and some like me suspect that this is because, as yet, we have not been or are not being visited by them. Still, if aliens do exist then I very much suspect that the first time we get to see them then it wont be via the contents of one of their spacecraft. I very much suspect that any alien spacecraft visiting our planet will be manned by robots capable of travelling the great distances and time span required in getting here. Capability to travel the distance first coming later by the capability to do so at extremely fast speeds. Note I did not mention "aliens" in my statement once. ;-) I see no evidence of aliens, I only see evidence (and a lot of it) that unidentified objects do exist, do fly around, and are caught on tape all the time. Way too much to refute it all. #resist |

That's precisely my point. They might be unidentified flying objects, but that doesn't prove inconclusively an alien origin. Part of the problem is that people will exaggerate claims of what they saw. People who are biased in favor of what they are predispositioned to believe will match their bias to their testimony of what they saw, most certainly because they believe it couldn't have been anything else. This is what I'm talking about being 100% fake - the eye witness reports. Not the footage themselves (though the majority of them are faked). If you note, every single bit of UFO documentary deals with the most unreliable bit of evidence - eye witness reports and the people who assert their opinions about what they saw as fact. They will then take completely unrelated observations and tie it in with their conspiracy theory. Watch the beginning of the Penn and Teller show on Area 51. It summarizes the logic (or lack thereof) used by UFO conspiracy theorists and how they come to their off-base conclusions and assertions. |

Note I did not mention "aliens" in my statement once. ;-) No, your correct, Ex; but by implication most read the siting of UFO's to be of alien origin..... ...where's your "volunteer testers" badge??? I hap't to come across a web site yesterday, purporting to be a serious site,? said that three alien spacecraft are travelling towards Earth. At the moment they are just passing Pluto or Mars, Now you would go and ask me that! I'll see if this web page is still held in my cache... Nope, cache only showing where I have been today. But if you search for "three spacecraft" on Google you get plenty of sites referring to this. The one I read stated where these spacecraft were currently positioned and if I remember correctly I got this site via a posters link regarding something else in one of our threads. Ok, now that I've given everyone plenty of time to watch the videos, let's apply the knowledge to your questions. so you think things like phoenix lights were just flares? Yes, they were just flares. They use the same thing at many airports for specific reasons. O'Haire airport here in IL has used flares that people have caught on tape at night and claimed they were "a really large ship hovering over the main terminal". This is nothing unusual, but to UFO nuts, they are proof. a dozen different officers on different nights were hallucinating at rendelsham forest? Not hallucinating. Simply not understanding what they might have seen. how did ufo's hover above nuclear missile bases and disable over a dozen nuclear missiles on independent electrical systems, separated by miles, with multiple eyewitnesses present? Any corroborating evidence to support this wild claim? Or is it just eye witnesses? Countless professional airline pilots and military pilots have attested not only to seeing UFO's and the near impossible maneuvers they make, but seeing UFO's the size of many football fields which is obviously many times larger than any man made vehicles; why would a plane full of people or pilots with their jobs and reputations at risk make things like that up? Many of those cases are backed up with radar evidence. Even intelligent people are not immune to misunderstanding something, or not being sophisticated enough to understand something out of their field of expertise. That a few pilots believe they saw something is certainly not proof of alien UFOs. I don't think anyone has actually "made up" what they saw, I simply think they don't understand what they saw. Astronauts like Edgar Mitchel have come out recently and said they know for sure that the gov't has been covering up existence of ET's, and Gordon Cooper claims he saw them first hand. Again, intelligent people are not immune to delusions. NASA also is not responsible for tracking UFOs. Just because one man asserts that he knows something, doesn't make the claim true. Do you believe everything people tell you? And do you believe it more if they used to work for a branch of the government? Also, why all the cloak and dagger secrecy on the part of the government? Because that's what the government does. If they told everyone their secrets, they wouldn't be secret anymore! Just because they can't tell you what they're doing, doesn't mean its a cover-up story or conspiracy to hide the truth from people. What's the point of having highly classified projects if everyone knows what's going on? I could go on and on but I'm just trying to make a point here.. I think you'll find that it's a bit more complicated than that... I know this is a scientific project, and skepticism is extremely necessary in a field like this because 99% of sightings, abductions, ET stories are obviously BS.. But not 100% of them. I don't believe for a second that any government on this planet would be able to hold such information from the public. Many governments can't even see eye-to-eye on many different ways of life... why or how would they all agree to keep alien visitations from everyone? And would they really have a choice in the matter? Certainly not every alien would care to follow our "guidelines" and would just come out in the middle of the day and land on someone's lawn. And I think they would bring all of their friends in case they needed backup. If aliens were really visiting us, there would be undeniable proof. Every single UFO hunter lacks this very important piece of the puzzle, and why is it that they've been unable to provide this information to the public? Is it because the government keeps it under wraps, or is it because it simply doesn't exist because its not true? Occam's Razor applies here. In the lack of evidence, the simplest explanation must be the truth. I understand that the idea that the government is hiding something is so strong a feeling in some, but that doesn't mean it exists anywhere outside their own head. The US government can't even run a damn mail delivery service properly... they certainly don't have it in them to hide alien visitations for over 50 years. |

Im thinking that UFOs have something going but the fakes overlap with the real stuff and gets dumped into the fake pile. That 15% is the story. just nothing you could really say as solid case. Lights and spots floating around at altitude could be anything. You need one shows it inside and out and its power source material made from. Theres nothing like that and half the earths population has cameras. I would pay 50 bucks just to touch one like in Rhendahlshem forest. The complete lack of any communication is a part I dont understand. Life celebrates life why not communicate. |

Im thinking that UFOs have something going but the fakes overlap with the real stuff and gets dumped into the fake pile. That 15% is the story. So if 1000 people tell you that they can fly via self-propulsion without offering any evidence to support their claim, at least 150 people have to be telling the truth? A 100% false story cannot be true by any percentage. A false story is any extraordinary claim that cannot be backed by extraordinary evidence. Until the evidence is given, there's no reason to think even one percent of the stories are true. just nothing you could really say as solid case. That's due a lack of evidence, and there's a lack of evidence because it hasn't been happening. UFO hunters are nothing more than sensationalists who want to get together and tell ghost stories without an ounce of truth. I would pay 50 bucks just to touch one like in Rhendahlshem forest. Why would you want to burn your fingers on a flare? Seems rather unintelligent to me. The complete lack of any communication is a part I dont understand. Life celebrates life why not communicate. Again, because it hasn't been happening. Use a little critical thinking and you'll understand what several of us have been saying all along. |

Its odd UFOs are an accepted part of life throughout the world. Its like they are in a niche all their own. So many sightings there is now world wide symposiums on them. Brazil is hosting the only worldwide symposium. So far they seem benign and dont seem to interfere with our life. I would just love to touch one for the realness of it, so you can say they are real and realy concentrate on communication from that point on. The communication or the lack of bothers me. What is their agenda, do they mean us harm or do they need our help. |

Spirits, ghosts and a Divine Being are all accepted as well, but there is no proof for their existence either. Just because a story is accepted, doesn't mean there's any truth to it at all. Aliens haven't contacted us because they haven't been visiting us. |

Its odd UFOs are an accepted part of life throughout the world. ... Just as is religion. Note also that just as the depiction of whatever god follows artistic trends depending upon the stories and art of the day, so too for UFOs following present day media depictions. I guess people see fiction visualised on TV, and then dream or believe that it just might happen... Some authors have made big business out of that... Hope you're not going the way of Terry Pratchett's "Auditors" :-( I would not want the job. Even if I could somehow force everyone to think a certain way, I would never want to remove free thought. |
