Sorry no posting before, but a sort of slow day with progress ...

Apparently my kidneys are starting to improve again after over a week paused. And I am back on a 22 hour calcium drip as my skeleton seems to be mopping it up from the blood, despite drinking milk.

The head consultant is doing a home care plan for release Friday, and I will be called back for radium treament as requied.

The only fly ATM is the osteo teams load changer sleeve which keeps slipping. This needs redesigning to prevent slipping, as they are terrified I will break my right upper arm at the cancer weakened bone. The idea is any loading will be kept away from it.

In summary -

Good progress
Going home Friday
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

Not so much a case of "sling your hook" as "hook your sling".
All the best, and hopefully home for the weekend, just as the weather is warming up, now there's good planning.

If your going to be back home on Friday, John; are you going to
want them roller skates back that I borrowed from you?

Just don't threaten to barf all over them if they don't let you out on Friday, that tends to backfire...

That will be the last thing I will push for, as things are complicated enough.

I think the hold up could be the scheduling of the radium treatments. But, I understand the ambulances from home is a normal option in rural Lincolnshire.

All the doctor/consultant talk is fora release home Friday.

Lets hope so John, I know you're itching to see the pooches and vice versa. Even if it isn't until early next week, they seem prepared to discharge you in principle, which is good news.

Is Helga the younger one?

She is younger than Gretta.

Glad to hear he is in good spirits. That is half the battle. Too bad we can't get him some good spirits to consume.
