Hi, Since I rejoined SETI yesterday, I wanted to change my avatar. In personal preferences you can read this : Use this uploaded avatar: then a box with choose file. The pic I want uploaded is on my PC. Also, the size of the pic is not bigger than 4 kb. When I choose a pic to upload and the click "update", nothing changes. Anyone who knows how to solve this ? Thanks in advance for any reaction! |

No 80X80 jpg-file (jpg is also mentioned as a usable format) Or does it have to be exact 100 X 100 ? If I do that, it exceeds the 4kb maximum.... |

When I choose a pic to upload and the click "update", nothing changes. This is a side-effect of your browser caching the pages. Try to force your browser to renew the cache. CTRL + F5 on Firefox, CTRL + SHIFT + F5 in Internet Explorer. |

I use Chrome, so I cleaned up the cache using CCleaner, but still no result... :-( |

Just to make sure, the avatar you want to load, is that this one? Oh wait a moment, you use a gravatar at this moment, so in order to get a new avatar, you may have to change it at gravatar. |

I tried both, uploading from my own PC and using Gravatar, but nothing.... The one you see now is a standard Gravatar pic |

If you're blocking scripts on web pages (with NoScript for instance), allow this site through. Also allow Javascript to be executed. And if that doesn't work, it may be a broken forum software. |

Now it suddenly works.... That means the old version was sitting in the cache on your computer or in the cache in some server along the way. BOINC WIKI |
