Oh my giddy aunt! Hilarious! Would've loved to say that, but 90 days in Colchester wouldn't have gone down well! |

Servicemen vs muppets. I think you will find this is on topic. Unfortunately in this case the muppet is also a serviceman. From "The Odd Angry Shot" T.A. |

Real duplicity at work...... Last year an S.A.S sniper was prosecuted & imprisoned because a pistol was found in his kit that arrived in the UK...... ...after a lengthy legal fight, he had his conviction overturned...... ....NOW..... ..after successfully winning his fight, the muppets known as beaurocrats are kicking him out...... ....WHY?........ ....because of an injury suffered in 2009......... ..HOLD YOUR HORSES! 2009?...... ..didn't he serve in Iraq 2010/11? SAS Sniper to be discharged Here's a better solution: - ALL returning service personnel to be given employment at the M.o.D & all the useless, pen pushing *********** *********** to take their place in the combat zones..... ...might get better running government departments! |

Just wondering if someone will have the courage to take this to the EU Courts! 2 million drivers face £1000 fines due to driving on an invalid license Whoa!!!!!!!! hold your horses HMG & DM!!!!!!!!!!! Invalid? Really? Under current law, one must have a photocard & paper counterpart..... .....as the photocards are ONLY VALID for 10 years, does that make the license invalid should one not renew it? NO & why not? Simple, the paper counterpart LEGALLY STATES license is valid until age 70! Hmmmn, wondering if because of that very duplicity that this is coming in effect...... ......."A spokesman said: ‘As part of a Government-wide process to get rid of unnecessary, burdensome and overcomplicated regulation, the Department for Transport is, among other measures, scrapping the regulation requiring motorists to hold a paper counterpart to their driving licence by 2015 at the latest.’ " |

Lambs to the slaughter! Fare Thee Well Warrior Nation "Events have a way of taking charge. Who knows where Del-boy, or his successors, may discern a ''moral imperative’’, as he did in Libya and chafes also to do in Syria?" Maybe Del-boy sees it as a quicker way to reduce the Forces & at the same time, save on pensions: - more money for them to fiddle! |

With tomorrow being Remembrance Day, this is deplorable: - Grave of VC Holder Source & before someone rubbishs this as a biased report from a "redtop", I know for a fact that some info is 100% correct! John Freeman Buried: Abney Park Cemetery, Stoke Newington, London. State of grave: Abysmal. Cracked, overgrown. Date VC won: October 10, 1857. Where: India. Action: Freeman was a private in the 9th Lancers during the Indian Mutiny. In an engagement with the Indian cavalry near Agra, Freeman’s commanding officer, Lt Jones, was shot, and Freeman decided to rescue him. He managed not only to kill the leader of the enemy’s cavalry but he also successfully defended himself and Jones against repeated attacks. Freeman was dangerously wounded the following May, but survived and died in Hackney in East London in 1913, aged about 80. I lived in Bouverie Road, London N16 in the early 70's (google map it & see how close it is to Abney Park) & my mates & I often used to use the cemetery as a shortcut until one day in 1973 when I spotted Mr Freeman's grave - it wasn't very well maintained then, but 2 of us kept it from getting overgrown (out of the 15 of us, 2 of us were studying Military History & felt that more respect should be shown these fallen heroes). That is until one day, the caretaker caught us tidying the area up & reported us. We received a caution from the Police (the bugger had called them) Since that day & even though I'm an ex-serviceman myself, I despair every 11/11 when I see the jumped up muppets that lead us, fawn on that sad day. Before this nation can "dictate" to others, its about time we cleaned it up, both physically & morally! |

Thanks. I knew that up to WWII medics were not allowed to bear arms. |

As far as I know medics have a "protected status" under the Geneva Convention, meaning that they are non-combatants who have a right to bear arms for self-defence and the protection of a patient. Combat medic |

Duplicity of the "Daily Ragtag"? Can someone please correct me if I'm incorrect on the following: - I've researched the Geneva Convention & at this time, cannot find what I'm looking for...... Our Women at War Nice enough article, but it's bugging me....... 10th picture down is a nurse with the rank of Captain - no problem there.... 12th picture down is supposed to be the same nurse on patrol - big problem with that..... I've always thought that under the Geneva Convention, NO medic is to bear arms...... So if I'm correct, the Daily Ragtag (if the person depicted is the same officer of course) should be aware of that! |

Disgusting to say the least...... "Lavish" party at NHS hospital "Clare Curran, director of human resources for the trust, said: ‘We find it disappointing that anyone would criticise this event, which acknowledges the fantastic work done by our staff and volunteers.’" So why wasn't there any nurses or volunteers at the party? |

The problem quiet simply is The Internet In a "free" country you can view any page even if that subject is illegal or banned in your country unless blocked by your government, which in this case would have been way too late However if there are local laws that would ban publication of said material then they should be observed until they can be changed to keep up with the internet :-) The internet will eventually make all the "privacy" laws completely invalid, unless they are exactly the same in all countries. Or as I suspect most of the supposed democratic countries will impose draconian restrictions on ISP's and heavily censor the content we are able to access. It will happen slowly, I do not however expect "blue" sites to suffer. I suspect there is more control than people realise even now. Bread and Circuses my friend |

Hot off the press Duplicity or stupidity? or maybe both...... Naked Prince Harry photos published by the Sun "This is about the ludicrous situation where a picture can be seen by hundreds of millions of people around the world on the internet but can't be seen in the nation's favourite paper read by eight million people every day". Or found on the Internet in Britain "Labour MP Gerry Sutcliffe, who also sits on the committee, said the Sun had made a grave mistake in printing pictures and questioned the public interest case". Why a mistake? "Ex-Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott tweeted: "Tonight's decision by @rupertmurdoch to allow The Sun to print the private Harry photos shows his contempt for the PCC, Leveson & the law." Where's the contempt when they're available worldwide on the Net? |

Could this be the end of Diplomatic Immunity/Political Asylum? Embassy entry "could be suicide for the UK" "The UK says it is obliged to extradite Mr Assange to Sweden, where he faces questioning over sex assault claims, which he denies, and he will be arrested if he leaves the embassy". "So we're hoping for clear and coherent backing because this violates all inter-American law, all international law, the Vienna Convention and all diplomatic traditions of the last, at least, 300 years on a global scale." It seems whistleblowing is becoming a dangerous occupation! |

Now this is very interesting.... Cameron on religious symbols "She lost an industrial tribunal, which ruled that she had not suffered religious discrimination. BA has since changed its policy to allow the wearing of crosses and other religious symbols". So BA, have you reinstated her? |

Unless my understanding of the English language is atrocious, It looks like someone within the system is either smoking the "funny" stuff or a total idiot.... Terry's Lawyers urge case be dismissed "And it emerged the only person who initially complained to police about Mr Terry was an off-duty police officer".....followed by.... "The decision to investigate Mr Terry was taken when police received a complaint from a member of the public after the Premier League match at Loftus Road". Which is it? A "dumb" copper or a member of the public? |

Ohhh, that's gonna hurt! Thought the FBI were more exacting than this.....illegally removing data & taking it out of the country? Really? Could we see New Zealand asking for their extradition? Judges don't matter on that...it was the FBI or are we going to see "godwin's Law" here by saying they were only obeying orders? |
