A new laptop. But I have to research it and buy it and wrap it and put it under the tree (and I suppose, act surprised).

I have worked as a laser printer repairman for one year in Paris.
I use to work on HP, lexmark, Canon (HP parts) and I have found
HP to have very good product. May I recommand the 4000 series.
Perhaps you need more, then a 9000 series...

Being able to find everything online. The malls are horrible around the holidays.

I'd ask him for three things. First, I'd ask him to lose some weight. It's hard to find good role models these days, and a tubby guy bearing gifts isn't gonna convince the kids to exercise. Then I'd ask for a blockade of Christmas movies and specials - We don't need any [Rated R]. Miracle on 34th and Passion of the Christ are enough, thank you very much. I'd then end by asking him to stop molesting the little kids at the mall. That was an ugly scene we had here last year...

Anyway, a little extra credit: We're all told that Santa lives in the North Pole, right? So who are the elves?

+1 ratings point to whoever gets the right answer.

Seeing how businesses seem to locate their operations where they can take advantage of cheap labour rates, I would have to guess that Santa's elves are really Inuit... or is that Innu?.. Residents of Nunavut, anyways.

Europe people think he lives in Finland. I am confuse, I need to know
where he really is.

You could still have the Athlon64, without the case, PS, RAM, HDD? etc.

I guess it's in bad taste to leave you in suspense while I go take a nap, so the answer is...

The Sami, an arctic nomadic people.

Sometimes called The Lapp (but they take that as a derogatory term - I don't know why). They are not tall (about 5' or less), use reindeer much like horses and camels, and are known for their colourful garb and curled-toe shoes. There's your elves (Except for the pointed ears - I can't explain that either)

Good guesses, though. Give yourselves a +1 anyway. :)

>YAWN!< Goodnight.

Uh uh Marc- here's the official "coat of arms' of North Pole , Alaska

And the latest missive to the populace from government headquarters:

As I drive around North Pole I am amazed at the number of youth who walk in the middle of the street oblivious to passing cars. During icy road conditions this is very dangerous. It is very important for them to walk or stand on the edge of the road. Blocking the path of traffic is a state violation in addition to being just plain unsafe. Four wheelers and snow machines are not to be driven on any city street. Snow machines must stop at all road crossings, and not exceed posted speeds for motor vehicles. Private property is just that, private. It is not to be crossed without permission of the owner. Following these simple guidelines will ensure safety for all.
