Interesting views of a vinyl record pressing plant.......
With some excellent blues to go along with the trip.

Meowza!!!

This is wonderful footage of what it takes to press an album......
Vinyl rules..........
Courtesy of Mr. Jeremy Spencer.

This is how it's done........
You mix a little blues with a little bit of vinyl, mix to 105f.....etcetara...
Make it like putty.....squash firmly.....
Stack it, flash it, sell it.
Uhh, something's wrong with that one, toss it.

Meow!!

Belay my last. Forum is slow loading pages (for me), and my eyes are slow tonight..

I've noticed some bands are issuing vinyl again, alongside CDs

Very few, but it's a trend, especially in the blues world.

Vinyl rocks, my friend.

It rules.

I have several thousand vintage examples of the pressing art.

You want a vintage copy of Joan Baez's first album?

I have two. Vanguard Records. 1960.
One in Monaural, one in Stereo.
Both mint.

Either will cost you $5,000 cash.

And I would find it hard to part with either one, at that.
I actually have a 3rd copy of her stereo release, which was used, and in less than mint. But it would still probably go for $3,000 to the most inquisitive bidder.

These are a few of my most treasured moments captured on vinyl.......and probably the most valuable.

The rest are most likely worth more to me than anyone else.

Got Rill Rill yet, hon?

I can make it more obvious.

Rill, Rill me on the telephone.

Sixteen, six six six then....Rill rill, call them on the telephone,.
Ok, well, see you on the moon then.
We're just the weathermen, you and I make the wind blow.

Yeah, sixteen, six, six, six and I fell apart.

That's Rill Rill, hon.

It's kinda funny, because the song title haunted me so much at work last week I wrote it down on a piece of paper to look up later.........

And I know the pain of 'Rill Rill'.....
I was an outcast in high school.....

That's what the song is about.

"wonder what your boyfriend thinks about your braces..."
'so this is it then, oh, you're gonna win, friend.

Click click, saddle up, see you on the moon, friend.
You're all alone then, Rill Rill and call them.

Yeah, Rill Rill, sixteen six six six, pick up the phone then, tell them 'bout the new trends.

Hon, that's what it is about.......a lonely teenager bemoaning her estrangement from her cliquey girlfriends.

Sixteen six six six, oh, it sux friends.

Rill, Rill, rill them on the telephone.

Rill, Rill.

Now I got to sleep with the kitties.

A fitting lullaby album......

The 'White Album'...
Should take me that long to go to sleep, as restless as I am.

It runs an hour and a half or so.

I should be resting somewhat by the time it ends.

The Beatles....Meow Album.

Sigh....
Now that I listen to it again, the White Album was filled with just that.....album filling trash.

One or two gems, not many.

Should have picked
Abbey Road. Much better material.

3:30AM..
Just woke up from a bad dream.

John Prine. No, he was not the bad dream.

The reality of what I woke up to is.
This was recorded in 2004, after what Prine says was a 35 year retirement of the song. Seems to me it is still a current statement.

I'll go back to sleep now and wait for my tax bill, which is what the current administration wants me to do anyway. 'Cuz Prine is right......it still won't.

Flag Decal.

For the love of my life, Lori.......

A laugher just before I knod back off.......
A Prine song cover by Steve McLain and Michaela Terrien.

"In spite of ourselves".....

And here is Prine doing his original version with Iris DeMent...

Yeah, Prine is a wonderful song writer and performer still.
