OH, my kittie friends.....
I just awoke from a dream.
This song was playing......really

I must go back to sleep now to see if it comes back.

Somewhere over.......

This is rather amusing.......
I just got up for a few minutes, and this tune was roaming my mind...
Seven nights to rock.... This version by the Refreshments.......

The one that was going through my head was one I heard live years ago by a dude by the name of Leroy Airmaster......

Uhh.....he also used to do a song called......
She looked so sweet, ridin' down the street. I wish I were a bicycle seat.

I don't make this stuff up.....Bicycle.

Comparison of two takes.......

I was caught quite by surprise by a young girl singing 'Hang Me'...

Taylor Glasheen.

She will be a star someday......trust me on this.

Anyway, she was doing a version of Hang Me...
While I enjoyed a number of other songs I heard her do, this one left me flat.
I messaged here that her tone on the song was somewhat challenging, while the (I think the original) by Dave Van Ronk was rather accepting of his perceived fate. Her version does not have nearly the resignation.

This is Dave's version..... I had this on vinyl until sadly I left it on the turntable a long time ago and the sun came through the window and warped it into an uplayable mess. Sad, it is a great album.

What am I listening to, this morning/my late evening? Deep Purple....Made in Japan....vinyl....Space Truckin'....headphones (definitely not the ancient but still perfect Cerwin Vega AT40s and Mordaunt-Short MS5-30s at this time of night!). My old Akai 206 (with Shure M97ED @ 0.5g) and Audiolab 8000aMk2 are smoothing out a lousy day quite nicely, in conjunction with G&T (Plymouth gin). I seem to recall that someone on these forums, blew some speakers or something, with Space Truckin'. I wonder who that might be. Any ideas, Mark?

That was long before these for you existed here, dear.
I think you remember the story.....two Citation 16 amps.....blown into a couple of old cabinets......warp 11.....the rest is history.

I rebuilt the crossovers, put in JBL drivers, now 30 years later, I am going deaf...LOL or not.

I still have the setup, though not powered up in some years.

3 Nakamichi 200w/channel amps.....24" JBL subwoofer. I think an old subcompact car would be smaller.

Replaced the midrange drivers with 10" JBLs.....the 12" woofers with JBL bass driver voice coils....that took a while. I can recone speakers......
very carefully. And don't breath in too much of the MEK fumes when dissolving the old cement.

Yes, this is the cut that did the deed.

Capacitor blowing on mars.....Space Truckin' Wait for the organ solo.........that did it. Too much midrange.

Uhh, this would be the original clip of Let it be.......

Nothing more wonderful than this.
Other than childbirth. Which I shall never experience, even in witness.

They were still all there.

This is probably the oldest incarnation of 'Fleetwood Mac' you shall ever see.
Spence, Green, and crew.
A new bio book came up on the scene today or so.
About their epic and fabled album 'Rumours'........

I think it's one of the best I ever heard, you judge.

Don't ask......

Peter Green was one of the founding members of Fleetwood Mac......

He suffered from my disease of terminal alcoholism and manic depressive disears, and I believe he finally suffered from his own hand.
Before he did though, he left us this cut.....
Albatross.....
Wonderful guitar work.
Meow........meow meow meow......meow meow, meow meow meow.....................
If you listen to the guitar line, you will understand the meows.

Have a listen to this, my friends..........
I have this on a piece of vinyl bought back in the 60s/

This is where 'Fleetwood Mac' came from.
Mic was there, so was John.

The guitarista was Peter Green.

Best when listened at high volume.

Jumping at Shadows.
Some of the best slow blues guitar work ever recorded.

"God have mercy, I think I'm going insane" And he did.

From what I can gleen, Peter is still alive.
Sold one of his guitars to Gary Moore, who I unfortunately know due to personal knowledge, has passed on.

I must have been thinking of Jeremy Spencer....the other of the two blues guitarists that were with FLM at their inception.

And OMG....Jeremy is still with us too......
Jeremy's site.

Interesting views of a vinyl record pressing plant.......
With some excellent blues to go along with the trip.

Meowza!!!

This is wonderful footage of what it takes to press an album......
Vinyl rules..........
Courtesy of Mr. Jeremy Spencer.

This is how it's done........
You mix a little blues with a little bit of vinyl, mix to 105f.....etcetara...
Make it like putty.....squash firmly.....
Stack it, flash it, sell it.
Uhh, something's wrong with that one, toss it.

Meow!!
