You asked the question........
I answer thus, not what you were looking for, I suppose.
But, it is what I was listening to just before your post.

Nice, I like opera at times.
I didnt think there was a right or wrong answer. You could be listening to the silence of morning, your lovers breath or the sound of your fan on your gpu. I was just curious as to what people were listening to this fine saturday morning. :)

Uhh.....
I was just on a long overdue call to my dear old Uncle Don......

He asked me if I was listening to the old records he gave to me 40 years ago.
\
I still have them, but the equipment to play them is not in service right now.

This man has sung opera, and wound his was around many Broadway venues.

So, I found this parody of the parody, and jounced the volume up so he might hear it over the jackass cell phone.

Good well, and you, Sir?

He and I both agreed that nothing compares to the 'Doyle Opera Company' recordings on RCA I have from the 50's.

Hence my rather obscure joke in the past pic thread......
'His Master's Voice'

I knew few would get that one.

RE: old records...

In my parents' closet is a box of old 78s from the 20s and 30s. I have a Crosley box that plays 33/45/78 rpm records, and records them to CD. Been working through my LP collection (about 600), but now I may take a break and work on those old 78s.

Thanks for the nudge, Mark.

When I pass, somebody is gonna have a heyday here.

I have several THOUSAND LPs. Most are not noteworthy, except to me.

I suspect the two pristine copies of Joan Baez's first album might be considered collectable. One is in monaural, the other in one of Vanguard Record's first stereo releases.

Mostly blues, folk, and some old rock. AC/DC's first stuff is very blues based, although you would not convince some kids of that.
Some old reissues of great big band stuff.

And, one of my true treasures.
An entire 1/4 track 15 ips tape trove of an old radio show 'The History of Rock and Roll'..

All 60 some reels of it. Saved from a dumpster when an addict DJ wanted to erase them just to reuse the freakin' tape.
Was in a bar one night, and the conversation came about.
He wondered if I could get him a really strong degaussing coil.

Bought them for about 50 bucks...the fool had them in his van.

Yeah, he shall live almost forever, he shall.

She is the cutest thing I have seen since Joan.
And this is saying a lot, given where I am coming from/.

Sweet face and cut offs.....
Lori, no offense. And no worries. Your man is not going anywhere other than where his fantasies shall take him.
And you, my love, have always been my first fantasy.
Simply had to clarify for those new to the forum.

I could make this one squeek, all day long.

Uhh oh aahh ah.

I so want. To Infinity........

And just sos y'all know.......
Ms. Larkin is just a few months younger than I.
Year and a half.

It sounds like......cradle robbing when I talk about it now, perhaps.
But we were both teens/.

That is her given name.
Joan Marie Larken.

Jett.. I still do love you.

40 years later, it don't die.

Yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah.

Been there, done that. Oh, yeah.

Marshall amps here too..........just for note.

And I tore that little leather thingy off of her neck.......

This is the better version though, as posted before.
Jettigre version.
Turn it up.

What I did not know before, is that this a superior cover of an earlier Replacements song.

Thank God Joan picked it up.........

Anybody know who the guy in the back of the classroom that Joan keeps looking at is?

Androgynous....

Is it Kenny?

She obviously pays tribute to this guy, and he is the only one I know that fits.
Kenny and I never met.
